BETHLEHEM, PA. (Február 10, 2016) – Neporazený 2012 U.S.. Olympian Jamel Herring (15-0, 8 KO) scored a unanimous decision (100-88, 100-88, 99-89) over Colombia’s Luis Eduardo Flores (21-3, 17 KO) in a 10-round lightweight bout in the main event of Utorkové Champions Premier Boxerské (PBC) TOE k päte UTOROK na FS1 a Champions Boxerské na FOX Sports fight card at Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, PA.
Sleď, who represented the United States at the 2012 Olympic games after winning the U.S. National Amateur titul v rovnakom roku, commanded the action throughout.
“I knew if I boxed smart it would show, but I didn’t think it would be that wide a margin,” Said Herring. “He’s a very experienced fighter.”
Herring added, “I was trying to get rid of him early because he’s a dangerous guy. If you let a guy like that sit around too long there’s always the risk that you might get clipped with something and regret it.”
Sleď, a U.S. Marine Corps veteran, hopes the win Utorok night will launch him into world title contention in 2016.

Martin responded to the talk of baiting saying, “I just stuck to my fundamentals, kept pumping my jab and setting him up for the next shot.
“I knew I hurt him with the uppercut. He walked right into it. And then when I threw the hook he couldn’t do anything,” povedal Martin.
Following the bout Gomez said, “I plan to retire after dnes večer. I care too much and fight too hard to be just another opponent.”
The second televised fight saw Raynell Williams (11-0, 5 KO) win a unanimous decision (79-73, 79-73, 78-74) cez Gabriel Tolmajyan (14-3-2, 3 KO) in eight rounds of lightweight action.

“The only time he was able to catch me with anything was when I got a little lazy,” povedal Williams.

“I was focused on boxing him and not so much worried about the knockout,” added Williams. “I knew I was winning the rounds.”
In the final frame, Tolmajyan, fighting out of Glendale, AKO, caught Williams with a shot that nearly ended things.
Williams recalled, “It was an overhand left that he hit me with. And then he came after me again, but the ref and I made contact, so then the ref pushed me away because he didn’t want me to try holding on to him. But once I got my feet under me I was fine.”
Avšak, Tolmajyan wasn’t impressed with Williams saying, “He wasn’t as good as we were expecting and I had him hurt with my left.
“I thought that I was winning the fight to be honest. I didn’t think I was going to lose the decision,” added Tolmajyan.
Williams concluded, “I hope to learn from my mistakes dnes večer. I got caught with a good punch in the last few seconds dnes večer, so I just need to work on consistency and fighting until the final bell.”

In addition to his 2012 National Golden Gloves Championship, Martin won three Chicago Golden Gloves and a National PAL championship fighting out of nearby Harvey, Illinois. An owner of 340 amateur wins, he made it to the United States finals where he lost to eventual Olympian, Errol Spence Jr. Martin turned pro in 2013 and is yet to lose. The 26-year-old picked up four victories in 2015 and will begin 2016 against the 29-year-old Nicaraguan Gomez who will be making his U.S. debut.

“Training is good. I really do not know much about Gomez, but that doesn’t matter much at all because I just go in there and like to fight.”
Martin is ready to showcase his skills for the first time in front of a nationally televised audience and he knows this is just the beginning of positioning himself into bigger fights.
“It is a big step for me. This will show me and the fans how good I am and where I can go in my career.”
Without looking too far down the line, Martin would love a chance at his old amateur rival, Spence. Martin knows that he needs to continue winning and looking good to get that opportunity within in the next year.
“Spence is definitely on my radar. I can see us fighting by the end of 2016 or early 2017. I feel that I will be ready for that fight. He is just one of a few guys that I want to fight on my way to the top. I am just hoping that everyone tunes in on February 9th and the fans will remember my national television debut.”

Betlehem, PA (Jún 25 2015)–V sobotu večer sa na Sands Casino Resort Betlehema, Christian Molina bude vyzerať zostať neporazený, keď sa vezme na veteránov Justin Johnson v 6-kolo Jr. Welterweight bout, že bude súčasťou 10 bout karta.

Molina sa etabloval ako jeden z najviac populárnych bojovníkov v údolí Lehigh kvôli jeho vzrušujúce bojový štýl a zapojenie osobnosti mimo ring.

Viem, že nič nie je ľahké, Budem aj naďalej tvrdo pracovať a byť najlepší bojovník tam a dúfajme, že jeden deň, Môžem sa vrátiť k Puerto Rico a bojovať doma.”
