BELÉN, PA. (Febreiro 10, 2016) – Invicto 2012 U.S. Olímpico Jamel Herring (15-0, 8 Kos) scored a unanimous decision (100-88, 100-88, 99-89) over Colombia’s Luis Eduardo Flores (21-3, 17 Kos) in a 10-round lightweight bout in the main event of Martes de Premier Boxeo League (PBC) Martes toe-de-toe en FS1 e Boxeo League en FOX Sports fight card at Sands Event Center in Bethlehem, PA.

An owner of 340 amateur wins, Martin turned pro in 2013 and is yet to lose. That experience helped Martin keep his composure when Gomez taunted him repeatedly in the second round.
“We wanted to make Martin mad and get him to punch himself out if we could,” said the 29-year-old Gomez.
Martin responded to the talk of baiting saying, “I just stuck to my fundamentals, kept pumping my jab and setting him up for the next shot.
“I knew I hurt him with the uppercut. He walked right into it. And then when I threw the hook he couldn’t do anything,” dixo Martin.
Following the bout Gomez said, “I plan to retire after esta noite. I care too much and fight too hard to be just another opponent.”
The second televised fight saw Raynell Williams (11-0, 5 Kos) win a unanimous decision (79-73, 79-73, 78-74) sobre Gabriel Tolmajyan (14-3-2, 3 Kos) in eight rounds of lightweight action.

“The only time he was able to catch me with anything was when I got a little lazy,” dixo Williams.
Williams caught Tolmajyan with a big right hand in the fourth round, seemingly stunning Tolmajyan momentarily, but he kept his composure and didn’t allow himself to become overzealous.
“I was focused on boxing him and not so much worried about the knockout,” added Williams. “I knew I was winning the rounds.”
In the final frame, Tolmajyan, fighting out of Glendale, TAL, caught Williams with a shot that nearly ended things.
Williams recalled, “It was an overhand left that he hit me with. And then he came after me again, but the ref and I made contact, so then the ref pushed me away because he didn’t want me to try holding on to him. But once I got my feet under me I was fine.”
Con todo, Tolmajyan wasn’t impressed with Williams saying, “He wasn’t as good as we were expecting and I had him hurt with my left.
“I thought that I was winning the fight to be honest. I didn’t think I was going to lose the decision,” added Tolmajyan.
Williams concluded, “I hope to learn from my mistakes esta noite. I got caught with a good punch in the last few seconds esta noite, so I just need to work on consistency and fighting until the final bell.”

The 26-year-old picked up four victories in 2015 and will begin 2016 against the 29-year-old Nicaraguan Gomez who will be making his U.S. estrea.

“Training is good. I really do not know much about Gomez, but that doesn’t matter much at all because I just go in there and like to fight.”
Martin is ready to showcase his skills for the first time in front of a nationally televised audience and he knows this is just the beginning of positioning himself into bigger fights.
“It is a big step for me. This will show me and the fans how good I am and where I can go in my career.”
Without looking too far down the line, Martin would love a chance at his old amateur rival, Spence. Martin knows that he needs to continue winning and looking good to get that opportunity within in the next year.
“Spence is definitely on my radar. I can see us fighting by the end of 2016 or early 2017. I feel that I will be ready for that fight. He is just one of a few guys that I want to fight on my way to the top. I am just hoping that everyone tunes in on February 9th and the fans will remember my national television debut.”

Belén, PA (Xuño 25 2015)–Sábado á noite no Sands Casino Resort Bethlehem, Christian Molina vai mirar para permanecer invicto cando asume o veterano Justin Johnson Jr nun 6 redonda. Welterweight combate que será parte dunha 10 tarxeta de combate.

Molina se estableceu como un dos loitadores máis populares no Val Lehigh debido ao seu estilo de loita emocionante e envolvente personalidade fóra do arena.

Molina traballou moi duro mentres se prepara para un paso loita contra Johnson, que a pesar do seu rexistro de 6-8, é 4-4-2 contra o 10 invictos que foi no arena con.

“O adestramento foi boa. Agora eu estou mirando só para facer o peso e estar preparado para sábado,” dixo o 27 year-old Molina.

Molina sabe que ten que estar no seu mellor como Johnson non só ten a experiencia, pero tamén ten algunhas vantaxes físicas.

“Sei que é 2 ou 3 polgadas máis alto, entón eu son. Temos algúns plans de xogo bo e facer o que temos que facer para gañar. Sei que é un bo loitador.”

Como mencionado anteriormente, Molina construíu unha gran base de fans na zona e eles van estar fóra para alegrar o seu home este sábado.

“Unha morea de persoas veñen para me apoiar. Eu realmente amo e que me axuda no arena. Eu sinto que despois de máis dun par de vitorias, I se pode facer unha gran sorteo como sei que os fans de loita portorriqueños estar detrás de bos loitadores. Este é o meu primeiro ataque seis redondos e sei que as grandes loitas aínda están por vir.”

Di aínda máis sobre como Molina foi capturado en para os fans como chegou aquí a partir de Puerto Rico hai só sete anos.

“Eu vin de San Sebastián, Puerto Rico en 2008 e foi a Mendez Liciago High School e graduouse en 2006. Eu vin aquí por min e quería un futuro en América. Eu traballo nun almacén para apoiar o meu boxeo. Sei que nada é fácil, Vou seguir traballando duro e ser o mellor loitador aí e espero que un día, Podo volver Puerto Rico e loitar na casa.”
