קראַנסטאָן, רי(פעברואַר 8, 2016) – Rising super featherweight star טאָקאַ “ה-ניס” קאַהן-קלאַרי(17-0, 11 קאָס) returns to action this Saturday night against Mexican opponent Gabino “בליץ” Cota (18-5-1, 16 קאָס) at Sportsman Lodge in Studio City, קאַליפאָרניאַ. A decorated American amateur boxer (131-11 רעקאָרד), his career highlighted by a gold-medal performance at the 2010 לאַנדיש גאָלדען גלאָוועס טאָורנאַמענט, Kahn-Clary is a native of Liberia who passed on a shot to make the 2016 יוז. אָלימפּיק באָקסינג מאַנשאַפֿט, אויסגעדרייט פּראָ דריי יאר צוריק.

“That really doesn’t matter to me,” Kahn-Clary said. “I trained to beat this guy, not how many rounds. I’m a lot better fighter than I was a year ago. I’m a lot more relaxed in the ring. I think more as I’m moving in the ring, adjusting a lot better, and my combinations are coming out a lot better.”
A former WBC FECOMBOX and Mexican featherweight champion, Cota is a dangerous opponent who has knocked out 16 פון די 18 fighters he’s defeated as a professional.

Cota is battle tested having fought world title challengerיונתן אָקווענדאָ, פּאָרטאַ ריקאַן אָלימפּיאַן Orlando Cruzand Russian champion אַנדריי קלימאָוו.
“I like fighting guys that come to me like Cota,” Kahn-Clary remarked. “It makes my job easier. I can setup my punches and fights against guys like this aren’t as much as a chess match. I’ll be landing hard shots and fans like that better than a chess match.”

BOYINGTON RETAINS, THREE NEW CHAMPIONS CROWNED AT NEF 21

The Colisée was a packed house for the promotion’s second hybrid mixed-martial-arts (ממאַ) and professional boxing event. Fight fans were treated to a marathon evening of nonstop action featuring 26 bouts in total.
In the MMA main event of the evening, in what can only be described as a “thriller,” ברוס “שיין יינגל” בויינגטאָן (13-8) defeated Jon Lemke (5-4) via split decision to retain the NEF MMA Professional Lightweight Title. Boyington and Lemke battled back-and-forth for five brutal rounds in what many in attendance were calling one of the best fights in NEF history.
In the boxing headliner, Northeast Junior Welterweight Champion Brandon “דעם קאַנאָן” בערי (11-1) handed Tollison Lewis the first loss of his professional boxing career (2-1) with a second-round stoppage via technical knockout (וואס).
On the amateur MMA portion of the card, three inaugural champions were crowned. ריאַן גלאָווער (3-1) took home the light heavyweight title after defeating Mike Williams (1-1), while Johnny Crafts (4-0) captured the bantamweight strap and Ricky Dexter (5-2) won the welterweight championship.
NEF also announced that its next event would take place on אַפּריל 23, 2016, once again at the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston.

CHRIS ‘THE CRIPPLER’ LEBEN RETURNS TO MIXED MARTIAL ARTS, SIGNS WITH BELLATOR MMA

The former World Extreme Cagefighting Middleweight World Champion has fought professionally since 2002, and holds the record for most fights in the UFC at 185-pounds (22).
Since taking a break from the sport in 2014, Leben has resided in San Diego, קאַליף. and served as a coach at Victory MMA & טויגיקייַט. Known for his tendency to put on an exciting show each and every time he enters the cage, Leben was a member of the inaugural cast of “The Ultimate Fighter” alongside fellow Bellator MMA competitors Stephan Bonnar און דזשאָש קאָסטשעקק.
