Victor Ortiz
I’m an easy-going guy but this is boxing. He might hate me. Kuv hwm nws, but I’m coming to take him down and out.
I know what I’m here for and that’s a victory. As much talking as he’s done, it was a different guy that showed up today.
This is a totally different fight than five years ago. We’re different people. I’m a different guy and so is he.
Saturday is right around the corner and I’m here. I see loss in his eyes. Kuv npaj txhij. 100 feem pua.
This is a whole new chapter in my saga. I feel like this is my time once again. I’ve only fought in my prime twice. I did a lot of damage at young age. I feel I’m in my prime now. The sky is the limit.
I feel very at peace being back in Ventura to train. We’re going to capture another world title. We went to training camp for that purpose. My mind is set on being one of the greatest.
LWM BERTO
We had an amazing camp. The situation five years ago, there’s no reason to keep speaking on that. I’m a better man today. I put in the work for this one.
I’m looking forward to this. Everybody knows me and knows how I get down. I’ll do my talking in the ring.
Thanks to Victor for taking this fight. All the personal stuff aside, we have to get in the ring and do what we have to do. It’s been five years coming and now we’re here.
The stuff Victor said on the stage and his body language. I believe he knows he is going to be in there with a different type of animal this time.
I think he is already defeated. He sees how focused I am. If he has been hearing anything from camp, he knows I’m ready to go.
He didn’t believe anything he said on the stage. Looking at him face to face, he was trying to tell jokes. I think that he knows that he is going to be in there with a different Andre Berto.
Edwin Rodriguez
My opponent seems to be really confident and it’s my job nyob rau hnub Saturday to take that away. We’ve worked hard and we’re ready.
I’m happy to be here and I’m really excited about this card. I remember watching this fight in Connecticut and I’m thrilled to be involved in part two.
THOMAS WILLIAMS JR.
“Kuv cia li npaj mus. This fight was scheduled for Lub peb hlis ntuj 12, but we always stayed in the gym. We worked smart, not just hard, but smart.
I’m thankful for the opportunity to fight on this platform. This is going to be a can’t miss fight. Get there and get there early. Don’t blink.
Jorge Lara
I’m proud to be here. We’re ready for a great fight nyob rau hnub Saturday hmo ntuj. I want everyone to see how much hard work I’ve put into this fight.
It means a lot to me to be able to collide with a great champion like Fernando Montiel.
Fernando Montiel
It means a lot to be a part of a dynamic card that his highlighted by this great rematch between Victor Ortiz and Andre Berto.
It’s going to be a great night of fights. I’ve had a lot of ups-and-downs throughout my life but I’ve always worked hard. I’m just excited to get in the ring nyob rau hnub Saturday hmo ntuj.
I am a five-time world champion and I’ve been fighting for 20 years but I know nyob rau hnub Saturday night that I’m going to have one of the best nights of my career.
GERALD WASHINGTON
It’s an honor to be here and I’m grateful to have the opportunity to fight someone like Eddie Chambers. He has so much experience and class.
It means a lot to me to come from a little town called Vallejo and to make it all way up here to fighting at StubHub Center.
I’m looking to take advantage nyob rau hnub Saturday night and step forward in my career. We’ve been working hard and putting things together
I’m excited for everyone to see the new and improved Gerald Washington.
EDDIE CHAMBERS
I want to thank my team for getting behind me and bringing me out there. I’m thankful to Gerald for taking this fight. Not everyone would take this fight.
This is my chance to get back in the good graces and get back to the top level of this sport.

Nkaus BADOU

“Both of us can punch, both of us can box. Anything can happen inside of that ring. I’m always ready to go 12 rounds. Everyone knows that I’m always in shape.

“Anything can happen, but I want to fight James DeGale. First I have to take care of business with Lucian Bute. Both of us are in our primes. We’re young and confident and it would be a great fight.

“I have to take care of this former champion. He’s a really good fighter. Some people say it’s a 50-50 fight so I have to take this very seriously.

“I’m still training and preparing for this fight like I’m the challenger. That’s how I prepare for every fight and this is no different.

“A lot of people wrote me off and I came back stronger. I love when people doubt me. I come back stronger and show people I’m a world class fighter.

"Kuv twb yeej ib txwm ntseeg nyob rau hauv kuv tus kheej. I’m mentally strong and I work hard. I had a setback but it just made me hungrier and it made me a better fighter.”

LUCIAN BUTE

“I’m thankful for this big opportunity to fight for the WBC title. My training camp was very good. Kuv xav tias muaj zog. It’s two days until the big stage.

“I worked very hard for this opportunity. To be a two-time champion is a dream. Nyob rau hnub Saturdaynight you will see a new champion.

"Kuv xav tias zoo. The pressure is not on my shoulders now. I’m not the champion, I’m the outsider. Badou is the champion and I think the pressure is on him. I came to Washington D.C. to perform, give the fans a good show Saturday night and the chance to become a champion for the second time

“I put on a good show against DeGale and that’s what led to this shot. I’m very blessed to be in this fight for a world title.

“Badou is a good fighter. He has a good background in amateur boxing, he’s a world champion, but he has nothing special. He does everything good but not exceptionally. I have more experience, more speed and I’m a southpaw. I think the advantage is on my side.

“I never considered retiring but there were three years where I had some physical and psychological obstacles. Now I’m back to being in big fights and I’m looking forward to taking Badou Jack’s belt.

“This is going to be a spectacular fight. I want to look good in there and leave no doubt. I’m more aggressive than I ever have been and that will make it a great fight. I’m here to stop Badou Jack.”

YAKAUNPAU DEGALE

“Fight time is here. I’m feeling good and feeling fresh.

“Porky Medina is a good fighter. But there are levels to pro boxing and I am levels above him.

"Saturday night I’m going to show you a real performance. My last two fights have gone the distance, but this time it won’t.

“I’m the best 168-pounder out there. I’m here to prove that. There is no one out there that can test me. There are big fights out there and good guys, but I believe I’m the best.

“I like this tournament style. It’s the best boxing the best. It should always be like this.

“I’m starting to build a massive fan base back home and I haven’t even boxed at home as a world champion. Me and Badou Jack would be a massive fight in the UK with two titles on the line.

“I’ve got everything covered with my game plan, trust me. I’ve gone extremely hard in the gym. We’ve watched tapes of him and I’m feeling good.

“This fight I need to make a statement. On my last two fights, I’ve gone the distance and they’ve been against top quality elite fighters. This time – no disrespect to Porky Medina – a good fighter in his own right but he shouldn’t last the distance with me so I look forward to a good performance.

“Good luck to both men, but I’m coming for the winner of Jack vs. Bute. I want to unify the division.”

ROGELIO MEDINA

“I’m the youngest fighter on this stage. I’m also the hungriest fighter. This is the biggest opportunity of my career.

“I’m here to give it my all and take the most of this opportunity nyob rau hnub Saturday hmo ntuj. My dream is to be a world champion and it is right in front of me.

“I feel very excited. I’m ready to go because of the long layoff. It has been a while but I have been in the gym. I’ve been training for many months and even though I haven’t had a fight, I have been training.

“I think that DeGale has a lot of good qualities as a fighter and I think that the fight is going to be very intense because I’ve been training hard for it. I’ve been training to put pressure on him and to make it an intense fight and try and knock him out.

“I’ve noticed that he’s a quick fighter, he’s fast. He’s got good technique but I also see that he sometimes likes to stand and trade and I hope that he decides to stand and trade with me so we can give the fans a good fight.

“A win would be the biggest moment of my career. It would have a lot of significance. Historically in Mexico I would become only the second super middleweight champion, which would be very important to boxing and myself.”

ANDRE DIRRELL

I can tell that Caparello is coming from Australia to prove a point. He’s hungry for a victory and It’s my job to make sure he doesn’t get that. I take this as a championship fight.

The blessing in having a layoff is that my body is in great shape. I feel 25-years-old not 32.

I don’t see myself as the smaller man. I suppose he can take a few shots but I am going to display my skill and show that it will lead to a world championship.

I feel I am at the championship level. I’ll have an eye on the 168-pound title fightsSaturday. I’m looking to get that championship as soon as I can. I am ready and I want DeGale. I don’t care if it’s in his hometown, backyard, basement, living room or kitchen. I want to make sure that fight happens.

I worked really hard and I can’t wait to get in the ring on Friday hmo ntuj.”

BLAKE CAPARELLO

It’s good to be back in Atlantic City. I took a lot from my fight against Sergey Kovalev. Being in the ring with him taught me a lot about ring composure. This is my Atlantic City redemption.

Dirrell is a very difference fighter. Andre is very quick and slick. I can’t afford to make minor mistakes. I didn’t make the 20-hour flight for a loss. I was small for 175 pounds which made the move to 168 very comfortable.

The plan is to win and fight one of the champions but fighting Andre is a world title for me.

People don’t think that I can punch, but I’m coming to win and put on a show. I’m looking to bring a victory back to Australia.

Anthony DIRRELL

It means a lot to share this card with my brother. We share everything. He is my big brother and this is a great moment for both of us.

I will be watching the super middleweight title fights Saturday hmo ntuj, but I am not looking past Caleb Truax.

I know Truax has fought some good competition in Daniel Jacobs and Jermain Taylor. I have my hands full but I prepared to have my hand lifted in Victory.

I think the loss made me a better fighter because I know what it takes to get there. I am just looking for the next shot. When I get it, I’m going to capitalize and not let the title go.

I’m going to stick to my game plan and try to get Truax out of there. Then I can start thinking about Badou Jack. I definitely want a rematch.

CALEB TRUAX

I have to make the most of this opportunity. Qhov no yog ib tug lossis loj kev sib ntaus rau kuv. I can get another shot at a world title with a win.

Dirrell is a good fighter. I’ve seen a lot of his fights and we’ve fought on the same card before. You have to respect that he is a former world champion.

I have to draw from all the experiences I’ve had in my career. I have to use my experience and be on top of my game.

Most of my fights have been around super middleweight. I don’t have to struggle to make weight as much and I couldn’t turn down this opportunity.

Jonathan Guzman

Rosas is a typical Mexican fighter who will come forward and be in great condition. I’m ready for him and I feel I know him well.

I want a world title and we’re happy that if we get this win we can compete for a belt next time out.

We are excited to put on a great show Friday hmo ntuj. I will break him in half.

DANIEL ROSAS

We know our opponent is very good, but we trained 100 percent to get the victory.

We’ve been waiting and putting in the work. Yog hais tias tus knockout los, it comes.

I know this is an elimination bout. We came to win and we’re prepared for anything that comes. I’m ready to be a world champion.
