Guerrero, along with his trainer and father Ruben Guerrero, have put together another successful camp in the Bay Area as Robert looks to earn another opportunity at the top fighters in the sport. Here is what Guerrero had to say about his matchup, campo de entrenamiento y más:
On fighting in a special weekend edition of MMA and Boxing on Spike
It’s going to be a great weekend of fights on Spike. El Viernes, you got top level MMA fighters like Benson Henderson throwing down. He’s always giving the fans their money’s worth. En Sábado, you got Alfredo Angulo and myself, who always bring excitement to the ring. We’re never in boring fights. Considerándolo todo, there’s going to be a lot of action packed fights that weekend. Everyone should be tuning in that’s for sure.
En su reciente campo de entrenamiento…
There’s been a lot of hard work that’s been put into this recent training camp. My dad and I have been grinding daily to get ready for this fight. It’s been a productive camp though. I got a lot of rounds sparring with top guys. I’m in tip top shape and ready to go.
On facing tough Argentine David Emanuel Peralta
Anytime you’re facing a fighter from Argentina you know you’re in for a tough fight. Peralta knows this is his chance to make a name for himself so I know he’s coming with his very best. He’s had a lot of time to prepare for this fight but I’ll be well prepared for anything he brings. He’s going to realize once he’s in the ring with me that I’m not some washed up fighter like some may think. I got plenty of fight left in me and Peralta will find out what I’m all about on August 27º.”
On the importance of coming out victorious
It’s very important that I win this fight at all cost. The welterweight division has plenty of good fighters that I want to get in the ring with. So it’s a must that I win this fight. I’m not taking Peralta lightly. I’m coming to win and win impressively.
On fighting in Anaheim at the Honda Center
Anytime you’re fighting in Southern California, you know the fans are going to be passionate about the fights. They love to see a lot of action and that’s exactly what they’ll see when I step in the ring. The Honda Center is a top level venue where the fans will all have a great seat. I’m looking forward to fighting in front of the SoCal fans once again.

BROOKLYN (Agosto 15, 2016) -El invicto estrella en ascenso Errol “La Verdad” Spence Jr.is leaning on his experience as part of the 2012 U.S. Olympic team as he nears a world title eliminator on network television and eventually a world title shot.
People ask if I’m nervous about headlining big fights, but I’ve already fought on the biggest stage you can fight on at the Olympics,” dijo Spence Jr. “I was fighting in front of the whole world and it got me ready for where I’m at today.
The 26-year-old will take on once-beaten Italian contender Leonard “El leon” bundu in a welterweight world title eliminator that headlines Liga de Campeones de Boxeo en NBC Domingo, Agosto 21 from Ford Amphitheater at Coney Island Boardwalk in Brooklyn.
Televised coverage begins on NBC at 5 p.m. Y/2 p.m. PT following the Olympic Men’s Basketball Gold Medal Game. For Spence Jr., it was the experience of being around world class athletes such as the members of the USA Men’s Basketball team that he remembers most vividly about his time in London.
I’ll never forget meeting all of the athletes that I had grown up watching,” dijo Spence Jr. “I got to meet Kobe Bryant, LeBron James, the Williams sisters and Usain Bolt. Just being able to talk to them and be around them was amazing. I was an Olympian just like them.
It was a big moment for me when people like that would recognize me and tell me they were going to come watch me fight. That’s something I’ll always remember.
While Spence Jr. had the best run of any of the men on the 2012 U.S. equipo, he came up short of his goal of bringing home a medal for his country. A pesar de eso, Spence Jr. wouldn’t change anything about his 2012 experiencia.
I feel like everything happens for a reason,” dijo Spence Jr. “If I go back and change something, it might change something in my future. So far my future is looking great right now. I’m one of the top fighters in the game and everything that happened in the Olympics led to that.
Four years removed from his time in the Olympic Village, Spence Jr. is ready to make his mark as a pro, but will still have an eye on the new crop of talent that is currently competing in Rio.
I would tell the Olympians to stay focused no matter what happens,” dijo Spence Jr. “Work with what you have there, listen to your coaches and stay 100 percent dedicated. You got this far, so why slack now?
I wish them the best of luck and I think we definitely have some gold medal hopefuls like Shakur Stevenson and Claressa Shields. They’re going to come home with gold and it’s going to be big for U.S boxing.

DENNING INKS NEW NEF DEAL; WILL FACE TRAHAN AT NEF 25

El día de hoy, NEF executives announced the re-signing of Lewiston featherweight mixed-martial-artist Mate “Ken Muñeca” Denning (3-3) to a new developmental deal. The first fight of the deal will see Denning face Taylor Trahan (5-6) on the main card of “NEF 25.”

I’m excited to have signed another contract with NEF,” dijo Denning. “I was planning on retiring, but I still have too much fight left in me. I haven’t been doing great record-wise, but if people have seen the opponents I have faced and the performances I put on, they know I’m evolving.

Denning, un miembro de Central Maine Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (CMBJJ), has had eleven of his thirteen combined amateur and professional fights in the NEF MMA cage. He signed his first developmental deal with the promotion in the fall of 2014. Denning got off to a 2-0 start as a pro before dropping three of his next four. He says that his new focus will be on improving his abilities through tough fights rather than trying to pad his record.

I’m excited to fight Taylor Trahan. Es un duro, dura lucha, but I wanted it. I need the motivation to get back in prime shape like I was when I fought Jeremy Tyler and made my pro debut against Derek Shorey. I’m over records. I’m done with everyone’s opinions. I talked to my coaches and team and I’m going to fight tough guys and do my best to beat them and get better. When I am finally done fighting, I want people to remember that I fought extremely tough opponents and did very well. Thanks to Matt and Nick for asking for me back. I plan on putting on a great show come 10 de septiembre. Quién sabe–maybe the NEF fans will see me in the boxing ring soon! Oss.

Looking at the length of his career, it is hard to believe Taylor Trahan is only 25-years-old. The native of Littleton, New Hampshire, and current resident of St. Johnsbury, Vermont, made his amateur MMA debut back in 2009, shortly after his 18th birthday. Seven years and 26 fights later, Trahan is recognized as one of the most prolific competitors in all of New England MMA. While he has fought in every corner of the region, Trahan has yet to step into the NEF MMA cage. He predicts that he and Denning will put on an exciting, fight-of-the-night performance in his NEF debut.

I’m looking forward to being a part of NEF 25,said Trahan. “NEF always puts on a great show. I’ll be fighting Matt ‘Ken Doll’ Denning. He’s a game opponent, but I see holes in his game that I’ll be looking to exploit. I predict the fight having a lot of fireworks and being fight of the night.

When the initial announcement of the positive result revealed Ostarine, Lucian didn’t understand what could have happened, hence his disbelief of the situation yet hope regarding test results of his sample “B”. At that time it was announced extensive research would be conducted to find out what really happened. Hoy, Más que nunca, Lucian says he never knowingly used illegal products during his illustrious career in professional boxing.
To assist in his search for truth, Lucian retained the services of a Los Angles-based lawyer, Howard Jacobs, who requested all nutritious supplement products used by Bute during in his training camp for the fight against Badou Jack.
KorvalLabs, an accredited laboratory in California specializing in sport, was mandated to carry out all of the analyzes, and results were obtained Lunes.
Sin embargo, analysis of a product named Dynamita recovery, made by Pharmageniclaboratory in San Diego, California, contained traces of contamination, Ostarine.
The supplement formula prescribed by physical trainer Angel Heredia (see photos) had to be perfectly free of all illegal substances in its composition, meaning, desafortunadamente, it had been contaminated during preparation of this supplement at the Pharmageniclaboratory.

Responsibility for the detection of Ostarine in Bute’s tests was totally up to Pharmagenic laboratory in San Diego. Bute and his lawyer intend to pursue legal proceedings against the laboratory that has caused irreparable harm to the integrity and reputation of the former IBF super middleweight champion.
Details of the investigation were forwarded to the athletic commission in Washington DC, which will therefore be inviting Bute to enable representations and explanations of what happened before it takes a decision.
Mientras tanto, Lucian Bute is in training at the gym of the Grant brothers regularly, does not put his career in question and is determined to take all means to become world champion in his division once the details of this case are fully set.
