“I want Abner Mares,” рече Санта Круз. “I said if we both win; we’re going to fight. I’m ready to fight him in Los Angeles in the beginning of next year.”
“I’m a totally different fighter now since I started working with Robert Garcia,” рече кобили. “We’re going to keep showing that when we fight Leo Santa Cruz.”

“I thought I had him in the fourth round,” рече Санта Круз. “I gassed out a little bit but I got my air back later. I thought the ref was going to jump in during that round but he let him continue.”

Mares was sharp from the outset, using the jab to get to Gutierrez and teeing off with combinations. The right hand was a weapon all night long and in the second round he connected with the shot that opened up the cut under Gutierrez’s left eye.
“I told everyone that I was here to make a statement,” рече кобили. “I had a tough opponent and he showed how good he is. It took a lot of punches and a lot of big punches. It was just a matter of time before I stopped him.”

The fighters disagreed on the decision to stop the fight by referee Gerard White to stop the fight.
“That stoppage was way too early,” said Ramirez. “I was not hurt. I was fighting back and I felt like I was recovering. I want an immediate rematch if possible.”
“I think it was a good decision from the referee,” рече DeMarco. “He was taking a lot of solid punches and I felt like I had him.”
Ramirez came out aggressive early and pushed DeMarco against the ropes, looking to punish him with combinations. Midway through the round however, DeMarco connected with a straight left hook that stunned Ramirez and sprung DeMarco onto the attack.
As DeMarco stalked Ramirez around the ring, he caught him in the corner and forced Ramirez’s knees to buckle. Ramirez was able to stay on his feet and appeared to be throwing back, but the referee jumped in and stopped the bout 1:56 into round one.
“I’m very thankful to Ramirez for taking the fight,” рече DeMarco. “I think big things are coming for me. I’m going to talk to my team and see what is next. I think this performance will erase a lot of doubts about me.
“I’m an experienced fighter and I stayed patient. I had great preparation and waited for the right moment. I feel great right now.”
“I want an immediate rematch if possible,” said Ramirez. “I’ll talk to my team but that was a bad stoppage and I want a chance to redeem myself.”

“Everybody knows there’s no Floyd Mayweather. There’s no Manny Pacquiao. Everybody thinks they know who the real champion is. But real talk is that the king of the welterweight division will manifest within one to two years.

PHILADELPHIA – Camden, NJ junior lightweight Jason Sosa, takes home the Briscoe Award as the “2016 Philly Fighter of the Year”, во неделата at the annual awards event presented by Philly Boxing History Inc., a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring and celebrating the Philadelphia fight scene – past and present.
Sosa upended the boxing world in 2016 by raising his game to the championship level and pulling off two upsets that few experts gave him the slightest chance of winning.

NEWARK, N.J. (Октомври 13, 2017) – Unbeaten contender Maciej Sulecki will face his toughest competition since moving to the super welterweight division when he takes on former title challenger Jack Culcay in a special undercard attraction on Сабота, Октомври 21 from Prudential Center in Newark, N.J.
Sulecki was unbeaten in his first 23 про тепачки, all at middleweight, including a dominant stoppage of then unbeaten contender Hugo Centeno Jr. во јуни 2016. He’s scored two straight knockouts in 2017 after making the move down to 154-pounds.
“My promoter suggested I move down in weight so I tested it, and I liked it right away,” said Sulecki. “I’m a very stubborn man, who will most likely do the opposite of what I’m told, but this has made me a better fighter. I’m happy to be part of this division. I have the same strength, but with more speed and more precision in my punches.
Culcay won eight fights in a row from 2013 на 2016, including a decision over Maurice Weber that helped him capture an interim super welterweight title in 2015. He continued to defend that belt until losing a close split-decision to Demetrius Andrade in a world title showdown in March.
“On paper he is my toughest opponent,” said Sulecki. “You never know what will happen. I hope that Culcay is as good as advertised. He’s an intelligent fighter, he moves well and is technically skilled. It could have been an off night, but he made Andrade look bad in their bout.
“I never thought that Culcay would fight outside of Germany, but I’m glad that he changed his mind. He will be a great addition to my resume of victories. I am an aggressive fighter, but I’m going to replace aggression with terror for this fight. I’m going to terrorize him from the opening bell.”
If Sulecki can live up to his words on October 21, a world title shot in the deep and talented 154-pound division could be on the horizon.
“Everyone knows that I want the belt as soon as possible,” said Sulecki. “This is a great chance for me to prove I deserve it. I couldn’t imagine a better place to have a real evenly-matched fight. I know the crazy Polish fans will be in the building and cheering hard. What more motivation could I need to be at my best?”

On his recent training camp…
“I got some good sparring for this upcoming fight. All the hard work is done now. Bones Adams and my brother Israel are doing a great job getting me prepared for the next level. I’m in tip top shape and I’m going to be throwing a lot of punches in this fight. Everyone will see my enhanced skills on fight night.”
On fighting in Mexico…
“I love fighting in Mexico because the fans are loud. You can feel the energy inside the arena. Every time there is an exchange, the crowd goes crazy. This will be my sixth time fighting out there and I know its going to be exciting.”
On the state of the super-flyweight division…
“The division is filled with talented fighters all across the board. Although they have a few losses, Roman Gonzalez and Rau’Shee Warren are some of the big names in the sport. I’m just looking to continue my march up the rankings with the hopes of cracking the top ten in the near future.
On what a win will do for his career…
“A victory gets me one step closer to my goal of become a world champion. I know with hard work, I’ll get there. I’m just going to take it one day at a time.

On his recent training camp with former world champion, Bones Adams…
“I’m always pushing myself to be in the best shape possible and this camp was no different. I had a lot of different looks in sparring and I’ll be prepared for any style the comes my way. My weight is good and I’m feeling great. Me and Bones have a great relationship. He knows what it takes to become a world champion so his knowledge is very valuable. I do my best to feed off his energy and listen to his instructions. He’s a great coach and were going to get to the top together.”
On fighting in Mexico…
Јас”m ready to go out there and a solid victory. I’m going to be aggressive with the thought of ending the fight early. I only got one thing on my mind and that’s to destroy my opponent.”
On the current state of his career…
“Since I signed with Greg Hannely, my career has taken off. This will be my third fight since May of 2017 and I’m glad to be staying busy. I know Prince Ranch Boxing has some big plans coming up. My vision is to stay undefeated and keep climbing up the rankings. I love were I’m at right now.”

Pound-4-Pound Boxing Program sends Jordan Aguilar and Leslie Soto to Elite Qualifier
LAS VEGAS, Н.В. (Октомври 12, 2017) – On the week of October 16th-21st, two of the rising stars of the “Pound-4-Pound” boxing gym in Las Vegas, Невада, Jordan Aguilar, 19 years-old fighting in the 108 фунти. division as well as Leslie Soto, 18 years-old in the 125 фунти, will compete at The Eastern Elite Qualifier and Regional Open Championships held at the Chattanooga Convention Center in Chattanooga, Tennessee for a national title.

They keep you going, they keep you rowdy. That’s good. We clap too, we love it. We enjoy it. We’re ready to see who’s the hype and who’s the real deal.
“Orlando hasn’t had a champion in a very long time, or maybe never. This means everything. I’ll be a big, huge inspiration to Orlando. I am already a huge inspiration to Orlando. I can’t wait to bring it back to Orlando to give more people hope to go out there and do something positive.”
JARRETT HURD

The son of respected MMA veteran Antonio McKee, A.J. Меки spent his entire childhood in the gym soaking up every bit of knowledge and experience available to him. The 22-year-old prodigy has applied that knowledge inside the Bellator cage and has made quite a statement in his first nine fights as an MMA professional, racking up seven finishes in nine outings. The Long Beach, Calif.-native now heads to Ireland, a country that is all too familiar with “Mercenary” due to his feud with Gallagher.

 

Known around “The Emerald Isle” as “Pikeman,” Brian Moore will be making his third appearance in the Bellator cage and his first main event. Having previously competed against top-rated competition the likes of Даниел Weichel and Mike Wilkinson, the 30-year-old SBG Ireland standout most recently stopped Michal Horejsi via punches at Bellator 177 this past April.
