Olympians added to 2018 Telemundo opener
Promoter Tuto Zabala Jr. of All Star Boxing, ינק. announced today that Olympians Antonio Vargas (5-0-3 קאָ ס) of Kissimmee, אין. and Jeyvier Cintron (2-0-1 קאָ) פון בייַאַמאָן, Puerto Rico have been added to the undercard for the 2018 Boxeo Telemundo’s season premiere on February 23rd at the Osceola Heritage Park Events Center in Kissimmee, פלאָרידאַ.
Antonio Vargas ווער represented USA @ The 2016 0lympics in Rio is coming off a spectacular win over undefeated prospect Jonathan Garza last November in Kissimmee. Vargas looks to continue climbing when faces he Luis Fernando Saavedra for 6rds.
Meanwhile Jeyvier Cintron was the first and only 2x olympian boxer to have represented Puerto Rico in the amateur ranks. After suffering delays due to Hurricane Maria devastating the island of Puerto Rico, Cintron is looking to make up for the lost time by staying very busy in 2018. Cintron is scheduled for 6 rounds with an opponent to be determined.

Barrios will face Eudy Bernardo in a 10-round bout on SHOWTIME BOXING on SHO EXTREME שבת, מאַרץ 10 from Freeman Coliseum in San Antonio.
In preparation for his homecoming fight, Barrios has begun training with SNAC track coach and living legend Remi Korchemny, one of the world’s best elite performance trainers. Barrios is entering his third week with Korchemny, who’s worked with אַנדרע קעסטקינד, דעמעטריוס אַנדראַדע און נאָניטאָ דאָנאַירע צו נאָמען אַ ווייניק. Korchemny sees significant improvement with Barrios’ speed and explosiveness.

נייַ יארק (פעברואר. 12, 2018) – Undefeated 140-pound contender Regis Prograis will now face former unified world champion Julius Indongo for the vacant Interim WBC Super Lightweight World Championship on פרייַטיק, מאַרץ 9, in the 12-round main event of SHOWTIME BOXING: SPECIAL EDITION live on SHOWTIME at 10 פּ.ם. און/PT from Deadwood Mountain Grand in Deadwood, דרום דעקאטע.
Indongo replaces the previously announced Viktor Postol, who was forced to withdraw from the bout with a hand injury.
Born in Namibia and now fighting out of Omaha, ניי, Indongo (22-1, 11 קאָס) is a former unified champion who held the IBF and WBA 140-pound titles.
אין 2016, Indongo traveled to Moscow, רוסלאַנד, to dethrone IBF Junior Welterweight Champion Eduard Troyanovsky with a stunning first-round knockout. In his first defense as champion, Indongo traveled to Glasgow, סקאָטלאַנד, for a unification bout with WBA Champion Ricky Burns. The 35-year-old won a 12-round unanimous decision to become unified champion.
In his first bout as a unified titleholder, Indongo made his U.S. debut against fellow undefeated and unified champion Terence Crawford in a showdown to determine the undisputed champion of the 140-pound division. It was the first championship bout with all four major world titles at stake since Jermain Taylor dethroned Bernard Hopkins in 2005. Indongo lost to Crawford, suffering the only defeat of his professional career.
“I’m very excited to fight Regis Prograis on מאַרץ 9,” said Indongo. “This is a great opportunity for me toward becoming a world champion again. I know how good Prograis is, but come March 9, I’ll be victorious.”
