New York, NY (Juli 18, 2018)–It was a perfect weekend for Split-T Management, as six members of Boxing’s deepest management stable remained undefeated with impressive victories.
Teofimo Lopez announced himself to the lightweight division with an impressive 6th round stoppage over William Silva.
Kampen, which was the co-feature bout on ESPN, took place på lørdag night at The Lakefront Arena in New Orleans.
Despite breaking his hand, Lopez was dominating in taking out Silva, who came into the fight with a 25-1 rekord. Silva, who had never been knocked down in his career, hit the canvas three times, including the end which came 15 seconds into the 6th frame.

2016 US. Olympian Charles Conwell (8-0, 6 KOS) was equally as impressive by stopping Travis Scott in the 2nd round of their junior middleweight bout.
In a bout which was supposed to be a step-up contest for Conwell, saw the undefeated Cleveland native land a perfect left hook to the body that sent Scott down for the ten-count in the 2nd stanza.
Undefeated and world ranked Erick de leon showed guts and heart to win a 10-round unanimous decision over Adrian Young in a super featherweight bout.
DeLeon dislocated his shoulder when he fell in the 1st round, and then came back to dominate and win the remaining nine rounds, with final scores of 98-91 og 97-92 to gange.
De Leon was able to fight on despite the severity of the shoulder injury which required hospitalization following the fight.

How did you get your nickname, ‘The Train”?

 

 

 

NL: “My friend started calling me Nate Train back in late middle school. I was very good at football and that’s where I fell in love with contact and hard hits.”

 

Where does your aggressive behavior, physically and verbally, come from?

When did your MMA career turn around?

How do you feel about fighting in Russia?

 

 

 

NL: I’ve been many places around the world traveling with my wife. Så, I was very happy to be able to go to Russia and get paid for it. NL: “After the last two fights, I have had the biggest lines of fans to take pictures and sign autographs. What makes me special is my passion and heart. You may not remember the whole fight, but you will remember the feeling you had when you see a Nate the Train show!”

 

What do you expect from the champion, Khamzat Dalgiev?

 

 

DL: “I expect a highly motivated man ready to do whatever it takes to keep that title, fighting in front of his fans and in his home country, but it won’t be enough to defeat me. This has Fight of the Year written all over it, followed by Knockout of the Night for me. I am willing to walk through hell to become a world champion and nothing can stop me right now. I’m a man on a mission that started with a boy and his dream.”

Chicago (Juli 17, 2018) – Junior welterweight Kenneth Sims, Jr. (12-1, 4 KOS) has been hunkering down in training camp in Chicago for his showdown with undefeated Montana Love (11-0, 5 KOS) in an eight-round bout that will be part of a ShoBox: The New Generation tripleheader on Fredag, Juli 20 lever videre SHOWTIME® på 10 p.m. ET / PT

 

 

 

I main event, undefeated welterweights will tangle as Jaron Ennis (20-0, 18 KOS) squares off against Armando Alvarez (18-0, 12 KOS) in the 10-round main event from WinnaVegas Casino in Sloan, Iowa.

 

 

 

I co-feature, undefeated lightweight Thomas Mattice (12-0, 10 KOS) returns to Iowa for his second ShoBox appearance of the year when he clashes with former Armenian amateur standout Zhora Hamazaryan (9-0, 6 KOS) i en otte-runde Bout.

Sims, who was a former National Amateur champion, has been off since suffering his only professional blemish, when he dropped a majority decision to Rolando Chinea, and subsequently had elbow surgery. He is eager to get back in the ring, and prove he’s one of the best prospects in the 140-pound division.

 

 

 

“Alt går godt,” Sims said. “I am feeling better than ever. I have been working with a strength and conditioning coach for the first time in my career, and I can feel the difference.”

 

 

In Love, he is facing an undefeated fighter, who made an impression in his previous ShoBox appearance on Feb. 2 when he won a majority decision over Samuel Teah on short notice.

 

 

 

“Love is a good fighter,” Sims said. “We fought when we were kids. We were about 15 år gammel. I won that fight, but that does not mean anything as we head into this fight.”

 

 

 

Sims has extra motivation, as he feels that in the loss to Chinea, he was not at his best physically, and he vows to put on a great performance.

 

 

 

“I am super motivated. The last fight upped my motivation. Det er fantastisk, to see some of the people who have rooted for me in the past are now saying negative stuff about me. A win will get me back on track. I have been sparring with Regis Prograis, and that has lifted my game up even more.”

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. (Juli 17, 2018) – The newest entity in MMA, MMA Pro League, has secured a multi-fight deal with FloSports to exclusively stream all MMA Pro League action live on their worldwide combat sports site, FloCombat.com.

 

 

 

This deal will begin with MMA Pro League’s inaugural event that will now take place Lørdag, Syv. 15, at the new Hard Rock Hotel & Casino in Atlantic City and feature Team New Jersey and head coach Dan Miller of the Miller Brothers taking on Team Pennsylvania, who are led by head coach Daniel Gracie of the renowned Gracie family.

 

 

 

“We’re thrilled that a worldwide audience will have the opportunity to experience our exciting inaugural event on FloCombat.com,” said President of MMA Pro League, Mark Taffet. “To accommodate this new deal, the first installment of ‘MMA Pro League At The Hard Rock’ will take place Saturday, Syv. 15, to provide optimal time to put the broadcast team, production plan and telecast elements in place and ensure the best possible experience for our audience. Fights streaming on FloCombat.com will include main card team action and preliminary matches, with the prelim bouts also available on FloCombat’s Facebook page. In the weeks leading up to live MMA Pro League events, both MMA Pro League and FloCombat will utilize their social and digital media platforms to provide content to fans such as regular updates from training camps, coverage of fight week activities including weigh-in and team workouts, plus original behind-the-scenes video.
