LAS VEGAS (Maj 10, 2016) -World Serie av Slagsmål (WSOF.com) has announced a new main event and second championship rematch between reigning bantamweight (135 pounds) kingpin Marlon Moraes (16-4-1) and streaking challenger Josh "Gentleman" Hill (14-1), for its stacked Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) event at XFINITY Arena at Everett on Lördag, Juli 30, bor på NBCSN på 10:30 p.m. OCH/7:30 p.m. PT.

The highly-anticipated world featherweight (145 pounds) title fight and second showdown between Alexandre "Captain" Almeida (18-5) and the man he took the title from – Lance Palmer (10-2) – will now serve as the co-main event of WSOF32: Moraes vs. Hill II.

“The magnitude of this event has increased dramatically with the addition of a second world title fight and rematch between Marlon Moraes, who has been unstoppable, in the cage, and one of the most formidable and talented contenders in the world in Josh Hill” said World Series of Fighting President Far chefer.

The second meeting between Moraes and Hill comes 17 months after the two superstars went the five-round distance of their championship main event fight at WSOF18 on February 12, 2015, with Moraes successfully defending his coveted title by way of unanimous decision.

The 5-foot-6, 28 year-old Moraes of Howell, N.J. via Nova Friburgo, Brazil is a former Muay Thai champion and Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu brown belt whose reign of terror in the 135-pound division has been ongoing since the end of 2011, when he ignited a win streak that has spanned 11 straight fights, Inklusive 3 defenses of his World Series of Fighting title.

In his last start and third title defense at WSOF28 on Februari 20, Moraes, who captured the World Series of Fighting crown with a unanimous decision overJosh Rättelse House på Mars 29, 2014, behövde bara 1 minute and 13 seconds to score a brutal TKO on Joseph Barajas with a series of rapid-fire leg kicks.

The 5-foot-8, 35-year-old Palomino of Miami, Fla. via Lima, Peru is coming off an epic year in which he engaged in twden, all-out wars with reigning, obesegrad World Series of Fighting lätta mästare Justin "Höjdpunkten" Gaethje, both of which earned "Fight of the Month” honors.

LAS VEGAS (April 1, 2016) – Following last week’s historic passage of Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) legislation by the New York State Assembly, World Series of Fighting (WSOF.com) today re-enforced its commitment to bringing its prestigious brand of league competition to the Empire State with an announcement that it has signed a letter of intent to acquire the New York City-based MMA World Expo, and that, pending New York State Athletic Commission approval, it plans to stage a series of bouts at the seventh annual affair at Manhattan’s Jacob Javits Center in December.

“This is a very exciting and momentous time for our great sport, so we could not be more thrilled to take significant steps towards becoming owners of the MMA World Expo, which has been consistently delivering an incredible fan experience for the last six years and which will make for a great home for live World Series of Fighting action at a landmark location in Manhattan,"Sade World Series of Fighting VD Carlos Silva.

The announcement comes three months after World Series of Fighting opened the doors to a satellite office in midtown Manhattan.

Two weeks ago, the company announced the appointment of Michael Mersch to the dual role of Chief Operating Officer and General Counsel. While serving as Assistant General Counsel for the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC), Mersch was one of the key figures involved in the effort to legalize MMA in New York State.

Blagoy Ivanov vs. Josh Copeland

Ivanov of Sulfia, Bulgaria is a 5-foot-11, 29-year-old Judo black belt and Sambo master who has earned 11 av hans 13 career MMA wins by way of (T)KO eller underkastelse. På 2008 World Sambo Championships, he made his first big mark in combat sports, defeating all-time great Fedor Emelianenko.

Ivanov made his way to World Series of Fighting after a near-flawless, 8-fight run under the promotion of Bellator, posting an overall, 7-1 record there. LAS VEGAS (Mars 22, 2016) -World Series of Fighting har utsett stående Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) industry veteran and sports attorney Michael Mersch, sin nya Chief Operating Officer och chefsjurist, med omedelbar verkan.

Mersch tillför VM MMA league, över åtta års erfarenhet som ledande befattningshavare nivå och biträdande chefsjurist för Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC). In his latest role, han tjänade som chefsjurist och chef politisk rådgivare för Nevada justitieminister.
