The addition of Serrano means that the card will feature Puerto Rico’s only two world champions, Serrano and Pedraza.

Raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, Serrano gravitated toward boxing from watching her older sister Cindy, also a professional fighter. She picked the sport up quickly, amassant une 9-1 record during a brief amateur career in which she won the New York Golden Gloves title in 2008. The 27-year-old would go on to fight all over the world, seizing her first world title in 2011 when she defeated Kimberly Connor to grab a super featherweight belt. Her world title climb continued in February when she stopped Olivia Gerula in the first round to capture her featherweight championship. A 28-year-old out of Torreon, Mexique, Rivas picked up her WBC International title in her last bout, a decision victory over Jessica Gonzalez. Rivas had previously successfully defended her bantamweight world title four times after winning the belt against Alesia Graf in 2014. Her prior run as a bantamweight champion lasted for five defenses after she defeated previously unbeaten Susie Ramadan to win that belt. These extended championship runs came after she became a flyweight world champion in 2005 by defeating Lucia Avalos.

 

An Olympian who represented his native Ukraine, Khytrov also won an Amateur World Championship before turning pro in 2013. Depuis, the 28-year-old has dominated on his way to stopping contenders Josh Luteran and Nick Brinson and previously unbeaten fighters Maurice Louishomme and Aaron Coley. Warriors Boxing Signs Their First Female Fighter, Jessica McCaskill, to a Promotional Contract

In a historic move, Warriors Boxing proudly announces the signing of their first female fighter, Jessica “CasKILLA” McCaskill to a promotional contract.
McCaskill (2-1, 2 KOs) is a power-punching lightweight originally from St. Louis, now living in Chicago and training under well-known Windy City boxing figure Rick Ramos.
“Signing this deal is very exciting,” dit McCaskill. “It’s the first step of many to a world title belt. I’m looking forward to fighting internationally and becoming a strong female presence and helping to bring back female boxing altogether.”
The 32-year-old says she started off in boxing as a crude slugger, relying solely on her amazing natural strength. But nearly three years of working with Ramos has brought significant change.
“I started off as a brawler,” elle a expliqué. “In St. Louis, it was really about being flashy and in attack mode all the time. But since I moved to Chicago, Rick has taught me how to be a boxer with more skills. Now I fight like more of a combination of the two styles. I feel my opponents out and then if Rick turns me loose, I’ll go back to being the brawler and stop the show. I turn things off and on. I can hear only him during a fight and whatever he’s telling me to do, c'est ce que je fais. He’s got 100% of my trust.”
Ramos, who says McCaskill is one of the most powerful and fiercely competitive fighters he’s ever worked with, has high hopes for McCaskill.
“Jessica is very dominant in the ring. She can’t even spar with women anymore. They can’t take her power. She spars with men. When I first started working with her, she was a little wild. I’ve slowed her down and got her organized. And now that she’s signed with Warriors, she can go as far as she wants to go. Warriors took a chance on her and that says a lot. I’m excited to see what they can do. The sky is now the limit.”
McCaskill says signing with a reputable promotional company is a big step for her career. “My network will grow and doors will open and different eyes will see what I can do now. I’ll be looking for six- and then eight-round fights in the next little bit. And a world championship challenge isn’t that far behind. I’m not here to waste any time.”
Dominic Pesoli, Vice President of Warriors Boxing and long-time Chicago boxing figure, says he likes what he’s seen from McCaskill, jusque là.

The fundraising event will offer an open microphone to singers, magicians, comedians, etc. Suggested donations are 10 Euros per person or whatever is affordable. Volunteers collecting donations include Terri Carey, who works at The Fashion Shop in Mullingar, and her sister, Dympna.
Invited Irish athletes include 2012 Olympic boxing champion Katie Taylor, also a multiple-time World and European Championships gold medalist, as well as some of the biggest names from the world of Gaelic football, hurling, horse racing, men’s boxing, golf, and stars from the Irish music scene.

Two-Time Olympic Gold Medalist Claressa Shields took to social media today to announce the opponent for her much anticipated pro debut on the lead-off freeview telecast of Kovalev-Ward “Pound For Pound” on Samedi, Novembre. 19 au T-Mobile Arena de Las Vegas, Nevada. Charlotte, Caroline du Nord (Octobre 24, 2016) -Undefeated bantamweight Rosalinda Rodriguez won the NABF Bantamweight title with an eight-round unanimous decision over Noemi Bosques in a bout that took place last Wednesday night au Grady Cole Center dans Charlotte, Caroline du Nord.

Charlotte, Caroline du Nord (Août 31, 2016) – Ancien champion du monde, Nevada Boxing Hall of Famer, Bare Knuckle and Women’s Boxing Hall of Famer, Christy Martin embarks on a new career as she introduces Pink Promotions along with Pretty Girl Promotions will present a special night of boxing on Mercredi, Octobre 19 à Grady Cole Center en Charlotte, Caroline du Nord.

He has been active in 2016 as this will be his fifth fight of the year. He will be looking to get back in the win column after going eight rounds with prospect Medzhid Bektemirov (16-1) sur Août 13.
Dans la co-métrage, it will be a battle for the NABF Flyweight title as undefeated Rosalinda Rodriguez (4-0, 1 KO) de Miami, batailles Floride Naomi Bosque (10-7-2, 2 KO) de St. Pétersbourg, Floride.

Rodriguez has two wins over undefeated foes which include Federica Bianco and her last bout when she won a four-round unanimous decision over Samantha Salazar on 16 juillet in Erie, Pennsylvanie.

Also scheduled to appear will be super featherweight, Christian Camacho (2-1) de Las Vegas.

Serrano makes her Barclays Center debut in the first female world championship fight ever held at the venue. Raised in the Bushwick section of Brooklyn, Serrano gravitated toward boxing from watching her older sister Cindy, also a professional fighter. She picked the sport up quickly, amassant une 9-1 record during a brief amateur career that saw her win the New York Golden Gloves title in 2008. The 27-year-old would go on to fight all over the world, seizing her first world title in 2011 when she defeated Kimberly Connor to grab a super featherweight belt. Her latest world title campaign began in February when she stopped Olivia Gerula in the first round to capture her featherweight championship. NEW YORK – Juin 28, 2016 – L'inspiration était dans l'air le 11 juin alors que les femmes de la boxe se réunissaient au Seven Bistro pour The Raging Babe Brunch, New York, New York, Événements Raging Babe’ septième rassemblement du genre, conçu pour briser les barrières et tirer parti des contacts pour faire des affaires et nouer des amitiés. Le rassemblement était le premier à New York, et a attiré un tas de “Babes enragés,” qui ensemble ont honoré les Main Events’ PDG Kathy Duva. Parmi les personnes présentes figuraient l'ancienne présidente du NYSAC Melvina Lathan, Arbitre Sparkle Lee, Champion du monde IFBA poids mouche Eileen Olszewski, Champion du monde des super poids coq WBC Alicia Ashley, quadruple champion national de boxe Melissa St. Volonté, Champion du monde des poids plumes IWBF, Ron Jeffrey et conférencier invité John Femiano de John Francis LLC.

Je l'ai vue tellement surmonter dans ce passé 19 ans. Je me souviens avoir pensé à moi-même, “Wow, elle est l'une des personnes les plus fortes que je connaisse!” Elle m'a inspiré pour être la personne que je suis dans ce métier. Sa moralité et son œil pour cette entreprise sont [explétif] extraordinaire.
“L'un des secrets du bonheur est la jouissance innocente de choses simples,” a déclaré Melvina Lathan, première participante au brunch et ancienne présidente du NYSAC, en décrivant l'événement. “Avec cela à l'esprit, c'est merveilleux de partager un moment dans le temps avec un groupe de femmes, à manger,, converser, et rire, tout en émanant de la beauté, puissance, grâce et joie, sans même essayer. C'était intime, authentique et très amusant, en particulier la lecture de la tristement célèbre lettre de félicitations soumise par Jolene!”
“C'était un autre événement inspirant dans l'une des plus grandes villes du monde,” dit Rosado du brunch. “Il y avait tellement de talent, tellement de coeur, tellement de passion, et tant de connaissances de boxe contenues dans ces quatre murs. Il y avait des amants, combattants, survivants, et j'espère sincèrement que les relations qu'ils ont nouées ce jour-là se traduiront par des collaborations commerciales incroyables et des amitiés à vie. Je suis tellement reconnaissant envers tous ceux qui ont participé, et à Kathy Duva, d'être un exemple pour toutes les femmes de l'industrie.”
