Field set for 2017 USA Boxing Women’s Elite National Championships

COLORADO SPRINGS, COLO (Νοέμβριος 30, 2017) – Team USA women’s boxing hopefuls will be competing in the prestigious USA Women’s Elite National Championships, Δεκέμβριος 5-9, in Salt Lake City, Γιούτα.

With up to six spots in each division already secured, based on the results of the 2016 Elite National Championships, 2017 Elite Western Qualifier and 2017 Elite Eastern Qualifier, the remaining spots have been filled based on the wild-card application process to complete the field of elite boxers.

Citlalli Ortiz Wins Welterweight Youth World Championship Title

Isamary Aquino Brings Home Bronze Medal

GUWAHATI, Ινδία (Νοέμβριος 26, 2017) — Coachella, California-native Citlalli Ortiz closed out her impressive 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships campaign with a split decision victory over Russia’s Nataliya Sychugova to take her first major international title in Guwahati, Ινδία.
“Today feels like one of the best days of my life,” stated Ortiz following her win. “Μετά τον αγώνα, I doubted myself, but I am extremely happy I pulled out the win and it feels amazing being a world champion.”

“I am extremely proud of my performance at my first international tournament,” said Aquino following her medal ceremony. “It was an honor to be able to represent Team USA and bring home a world championship medal.”

This year’s Youth World Championships brought 160 of the world’s top youth female boxers from 36 different countries all vying for one of the 10 world titles up for grabs. Team USA finishes 1-1 on second day; six Americans to enter ring today
GUWAHATI, Ινδία (Νοέμβριος. 21, 2017) — Day two of the 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships in Guwahati, India brought two members of Team USA into the ring looking to advance one step closer to a world title.
Welterweight Citlalli Ortiz (Coachella, Καλιφόρνια.) grabbed Team USA’s first win of the championships with a split decision victory over Nadezhda Ryabets of Kazakhstan. She will return to the ring on Τετάρτη, Νοέμβριος. 22 for a quarterfinals match-up against
The second American in today’s field, middleweight Sharahya Moreu (Αλμπουκέρκη, Ν.Μ.), fell short of taking the judges card over Russian Anastasiia Shamonova.

Pro Wrestler and MMA Fighter to step into ring in heavyweight main event

The native of Tampa, Florida via Tonga also has appeared in MMA fights in Japan, and is a 2-time IBJJF, 2-time Naga, and New Breed Champion.

Selina Barrios Spooks Her Opponent, Zarina Tsoloyeva Backs Out of Fight

Selina Barrios is one of the most avoided female fighters in the United States and now Kazakhstan. Ebony Jones from Alabama, Alpha Patricia Lopez from Mexico, και τώρα Zarina Tsoloyeva from Kazakhstan, all signed to fight Selina but backed out to fight her at the last minute. We’re going to move her into six and eight rounders moving forward. I’m already in talks with the sanctioning bodies to get her ranked.”

I believe my hunger and skill will be to much for Garland to handle though. I’m ready to bring it, and I can’t wait for my hometown fans will see me in action. I’ll be looking to stop Garland before the final bell rings.”

Salita Signs Russia’s Heavily Decorated Former Amateur World Champion Elena Savelyeva to a Co-Promotional Contract

Dmitriy Salita of Salita Promotions is proud to announce the signing of one of the most decorated female amateur boxers in the world, Russia’s Elena Savelyeva, to a co-promotional contract, μαζί με Nevskiy Ομάδα Προώθησης Αλέξανδρος ρωσική βάση.

She represented her homeland in the 2012 Summer Olympics and competed in the first-ever women’s Olympic boxing match in history.
Turning her sights on professional boxing, she is now looking to win a world title in the pros and looking to settle the score with her amateur arch rival Nicole Adams.
“My goal is to become a world champion in all the major sanctioning bodies and be recognized as one of the best boxers in the world,” said Savelyeva. “Signing with Salita Promotions will progress my career and open doors for me to help me reach my goals. I look forward to fighting the best in the world and reaching the highest levels of pro boxing soon.”

Salita’s co-promoter, Alexander Nevskiy, says the deal with Salita will give Savelyeva greater reach and strengthen her possibilities. “This is a great initiative to do a joint boxing business with a growing US promotional company, said Nevskiy. “This partnership is very important for us to develop and advance both our male and female boxers from the FSU territories in the US and Global market.”

Savelyeva’s next fight is scheduled for Σεπτέμβριος 23 in Borisov, Λευκορωσία. It will be an eight-rounder against fellow Russian Eugenia Zablotskaya.
