Field set for 2017 USA Boxing Women’s Elite National Championships

Following a year of highly-competitive national events, the best U.S. female amateur boxers are set to compete in the 2017 USA Boxing Elite National Championship. With up to six spots in each division already secured, based on the results of the 2016 Elite Национално първенство, 2017 Elite Western Qualifier and 2017 Elite Eastern Qualifier, the remaining spots have been filled based on the wild-card application process to complete the field of elite boxers.
A total of 88 boxers applied for a wild card qualification with 35 allocations awarded to finalize the Elite National Championships brackets.

Isamary Aquino Brings Home Bronze Medal

GUWAHATI, Индия (Ноември 26, 2017) — Coachella, Роден в Калифорния Citlalli Ortiz closed out her impressive 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships campaign with a split decision victory over Russia’s Nataliya Sychugova to take her first major international title in Guwahati, Индия.
“Today feels like one of the best days of my life,” stated Ortiz following her win. “След борбата, I doubted myself, but I am extremely happy I pulled out the win and it feels amazing being a world champion.”
Ortiz gold medal closes out a strong showing from the young American delegation. Team USA’s other medal, a bronze, was won yesterday by Isamary Aquino of Universal City, Texas.
“I am extremely proud of my performance at my first international tournament,” said Aquino following her medal ceremony. “It was an honor to be able to represent Team USA and bring home a world championship medal.”
The remaining members of the team included: Aidyl Cardenas (Calexico, Калифорния.),Diana Estrada (Hillsboro, Орегон), Heaven Garcia (El Monte, Калифорния.), Roma Martinez (Смирен, Texas), Sharahaya Moreu (Албакърки, N.M.) и Amy Salinas(Кръстовете, N.M).
This year’s Youth World Championships brought 160 of the world’s top youth female boxers from 36 different countries all vying for one of the 10 world titles up for grabs. Team USA finishes 1-1 on second day; six Americans to enter ring today
GUWAHATI, Индия (Ноември. 21, 2017) — Day two of the 2017 Women’s Youth World Championships in Guwahati, India brought two members of Team USA into the ring looking to advance one step closer to a world title.

Selina Barrios Spooks Her Opponent, Zarina Tsoloyeva Backs Out of Fight

Selina Barrios is one of the most avoided female fighters in the United States and now Kazakhstan. Ebony Jones from Alabama, Alpha Patricia Lopez from Mexico, и сега Zarina Tsoloyeva from Kazakhstan, all signed to fight Selina but backed out to fight her at the last minute. Turning her sights on professional boxing, she is now looking to win a world title in the pros and looking to settle the score with her amateur arch rival Nicole Adams.

I look forward to fighting the best in the world and reaching the highest levels of pro boxing soon.”
Дума, who already promotes women’s superstar Claressa Shields, says his latest signing will add spice to an already heating-up world of women’s boxing.

Salita’s co-promoter, Alexander Nevskiy, says the deal with Salita will give Savelyeva greater reach and strengthen her possibilities. “This is a great initiative to do a joint boxing business with a growing US promotional company, said Nevskiy. “This partnership is very important for us to develop and advance both our male and female boxers from the FSU territories in the US and Global market.”
