Ozgul-Scriven II – Title On The Line For May 2nd York Hall Rematch

Back in October last year unbeaten Hackney based Turk Siar Ozgul and late replacement opponent Matt Scriven campaigned in one of the closest, gach gníomh, battles of the year.

It was a true small hall classic that really deserved at least to be nominated for the accolade of ‘Fight of The Year’, if not be the outright winner, however that was not to be as somehow it managed to slip under the radar of the majority of the British media.

On Saturday May 2ú, these magnificent warriors will once again enter the arena, ag an York Halla i Bethnal Green, Londain, this time in a ten round contest and with the added incentive of a Championship being on the linethe vacant MBC International Welterweight title – on the Mark Lyons and Billy James-Elliott promoted LORDS OF THE RING event.

The October Ozgul-Scriven Battle Boyale was reminiscent of the first of the Mickey Ward-Arturo Gatti trilogy of fights that took place in 2002/3, without doubt one of the all time greatest trilogy of fights this sport has ever witnessed.

If Ozgul-Scriven II matches the intensity and drama of their first encounter, we could well have another action filled bout, one that equals any of the Ward-Gatti fights, right here in our own back yard, something no boxing fan, or British sports writer should miss.

To give an idea of just how sensational their first showdown was, here’s the write up on the bout from the published report by the Canadian Sports Channel fightnetwork.com.

“Fifth bout of the night see London based Turk Siar Ozgul in action against Nottingham’s Matt Scriven.

Cad troid, without doubt the fight of the night, as both protagonists went to war.

Ozgul came out hard and strong, initially putting the Nottingham man on the back foot, however Scriven soon started to exert his authority and then the fireworks really began.

By the third round the non stop action started to take it’s toll on the Turkish youngster, which allowed Scriven to land some sensational power shots of his own.

Ba é an babhta deiridh scáinteora, Ozgul backed Scriven into a corner and let rip with massive right hands, one of which sent Scriven’s mouth guard flying into the crowd ringside.

Once the errant mouth guard was retrieved and the bout restarted it was Scriven who went hard on the attack, one such attack late on in the round see Scriven land a massive right that shook Ozgul to the core, Ozgul sensibly went on the defensive for the remaining seconds to see his way to securing his fifth win.

Referee Lee Murtagh scored the bout 39-37 in favour of Ozgul, an fíorasc ceart gan amhras, but one that really doesn’t express how great this fight was or how close each and every round was.”

Siar Ozgul versus Matt Scriven, for the vacant MBC International Welterweight Championship, headlines the Mark Lyons & Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys Arduithe Céime dTiarnaí AN imeacht RING, a bhíonn ar siúl ag an Eabhrac Halla i Bethnal Green, Londain ar an Satharn 2ú Bealtaine 2015.

MBC & PBA Ink DealBritish Masters Title Fights For MBC UK Events

It was announced earlier today that Malta Boxing Commission (MBC) and the Professional Boxing Association (PBA) have inked a deal, that will not only mean that the hugely popular British Masters Championship, but also the as well as the all new European Masters Championship, that is being created specifically for the MBC, can now be campaigned for on MBC sanctioned events in the United Kingdom for the first time.

For the past sixteen years or so, both the British and International Masters Championships have only been available on British Boxing Board of Control (BBBofC) sanctioned events in the UK, however with the MBC’s rapid growth in the United Kingdom, projected to be sanctioning in excess of forty events in England, An Bhreatain Bheag, Scotland and Northern Ireland in 2015, it became clear to PBA Chairman Mr Bruce Baker that there was potential for further growth for the Championships if they were also available on MBC sanctioned events.

Over the past sixteen years or so there have been close to six hundred Masters title fights that have taken place in the UK, many of the Masters Champions have then gone on to campaign for major accolades on the domestic, international and even the World stage.

The most famous of these Masters Champions is no less than former two division WBO World Champion Ricky Burns, who after winning the International Masters Super Featherweight title against Romania’s Gheorghe Ghiompirica in May 2008, was catapulted onto the International stage, where in his very next bout the Scotsman successfully challenged American based Ghanaian Osumanu Akaba for the vacant Commonwealth title.

Burn’s successfully defended the Commonwealth crown three times before moving onto the World scene, where he then successfully challenged then WBO World Super Featherweight Champion Roman Martinez from Puerto Rico.

Once more Burn’s successfully defended his WBO World Super Featherweight crown three times before moving up a division and beating Australia’s Michael Katsidis for the interim WBO World Lightweight title in November 2011.

On his very next fight Burn’s secured the full WBO World Lightweight title, beating Namibia’s Paulus Moses at the Braehead Arena in Glasgow in March 2012.

Burn’s successfully defended his second World title four times before succumbing to the skills of Omaha, USA’s Terence Crawford in March 2014.

With such an illustrious Championship career blossoming from Burns’ first tilt at a title, there can be no doubt of the importance of the Masters titles on the domestic scene, something that now can also benefit the boxers, both British and those from overseas that box on the UK events sanctioned by the MBC.

The inaugural Masters Championship, that will take place on an MBC sanctioned event in the UK, sees Czech Republic’s Nikolas Botos challenge Bradford’s Tasif Khan for the International Masters Bantamweight title on the Mark Lyons and Billy James-Elliott promoted event which takes place at York Hall in London on Saturday May 2ú.

Haywood Set For Pepper Showdown On May 2nd

Champions TKO’s Jerome Haywood is set to face Scunthorpe’s Matthew Pepper on the Mark Lyons and Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys Promotions LORDS OF THE RING event, which takes place at York Hall in Bethnal Green, Londain ar an Satharn 2ú Bealtaine 2015.

Jerome will be making his return to York Hall, the scene of his successful professional debut in October last year, where he scored a well earned points victory over Rolandas Cesna.

Ar ais i mí Dheireadh Fómhair, after a slightly hesitant start, Haywood soon settled down and took the fight to his more experienced opponent, pressuring the big Lithuanian with stiff jabs and heavy rights to the body.

Haywood’s work to the body began to take a toll on Cesna, so much so that by mid way through the third Cesna was clearly struggling to cope with the constant punishment to his ribs.

In the fourth Haywood stepped up the pressure even further, which in turn forced Cesna to cover up to protect his bruised and battered ribcage.

After four excellent rounds Referee Alf Sprung scored the bout 40-38 in favour of Haywood.

Haywood’s opponent on May 2ú is Scunthorpe’s Matthew Pepper, who will be making his first visit to the famous home of boxing in the Capital City.

Following a training session, under the watchful eyes of his coach Brian O’Shaughnessy at the Champions TKO gym in Hackney, Haywood spoke briefly about the upcoming showdown with Matthew Pepper.

“Glad to be fighting again, it’s been six months since my debut fight.

After my last fight, I was hoping to get out again as soon as possible and I should have, I was due to fight in March, but had to pull out of that one as I came down with a bug about a week or so before I was due to fight.

My first fight, yeah I enjoyed that, I was well prepared for it, he was tough but nothing I couldn’t handle.

I don’t know too much about Matthew (Pepper), but we’ve been working hard in the gym, so hopefully I’ll put a good performance in for my fans, who I can’t thank enough for their fantastic support.”

Jerome Haywood versus Matthew Pepper features on the Mark Lyons & Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys Arduithe Céime dTiarnaí AN imeacht RING, a bhíonn ar siúl ag an Eabhrac Halla i Bethnal Green, Londain ar an Satharn 2ú Bealtaine 2015.

Canada’s Tony Luis Disappointed in Scoring of Controversial Loss, but Vows to Keep Fighting for his Goals!

Canadian lightweight Tony “Lightning” Luis (19-3, 7 Kos) says he’s disappointed with the scoring of his controversial unanimous-decision loss last weekend to Derry Mathews (38-9-2, 20 Kos) for the interim WBA Lightweight title in Matthewshometown of Liverpool, Sasana, but won’t let it deter him from his goals.

Despite taking the fight on three days’ Fógra, Luis seemed to outwork Matthews in most rounds and would probably be wearing a championship belt today, had the fight been contested on neutral ground. Ar an drochuair, the European judges saw it another way, scoring it 114-112 (Jean Legland, FRA), 115-112 (Dave Parris, An Ríocht Aontaithe) agus 114-112 (Stefano Carozza, ITA), all for Matthews.

I can’t say I feel good,” said Luis, home safely in Cornwall, Ontario. “This was my shot and I didn’t get the decision, but I know with my performance, I’ll get another one. Most of the press and the fans, especially in North America, know what’s up and saw the fight for what it really was. Derry did what he had to do to survive but not enough to win. He was cagey and made the fight look more competitive than it was, and that’s what a veteran is supposed to do.

Despite his disappointment in the scoring, Luis says taking the fight was still a good career choice. “It was absolutely the right decision. You don’t turn down a title shot. But taking it on three days’ Fógra, we knew we’d have to shake off the jetlag quickly. My game plan was good, but on such short notice, it wasn’t muscle memory. I had to keep thinking about it in the ring. That’s why I think it took me three rounds to get going. Despite all this, I still won the fight. Now I know I belong among the champions in this division and that’s a good feeling.

Luis’ tionscnóir, Greg Cohen na Céime Greg Cohen, says he’s pleased with his fighter’s strong performance and will immediately go to work for the 27-year-old.

Tony looked sensational ar an Satharn,” Dúirt Cohen. “Taking the fight on such short notice, you’d think fatigue would play a role, but he was a machine in there. That shows you how hard he works in the gym. Of course we’re disappointed in the scoring, but looking at the big picture, we now know we have a championship-caliber fighter in Tony. He responded perfectly to the pressure of a world championship fight. I will be petitioning the sanctioning bodies to keep Tony high up in the ratings and give him another title shot very soon. This time on neutral ground.

Luis will be returning to action quickly, he is set to fight for a regional title against an opponent TBA on Meitheamh 26 at the Seneca Niagara Event Center in Niagara Falls, Nua-Eabhrac, and live on CBS Sports Network.

I’m a bit discouraged from the politics,” Lean Luis, “but am I deterred from my goals? Absolutely not. The people have spoken, the fans know who won and that is consolation for me. I will keep moving forward!”

An Réiteoir Finscéalach Mickey Vann Chun Imeacht Tionscnaimh na hAlban MBC a eagrú Dé Sathairn seo chugainn

Beidh réiteoir Craobh na Trotting Cruinne legendary Mickey Vann ag déanamh ceann de na turais idirnáisiúnta is giorra aige i gceann tamaill fhada, an deireadh seachtaine seo chugainn, nuair a rialaíonn sé an chéad Choimisiún Dornálaíochta i Málta (MBC) imeacht ceadaithe in Albain, chuir an ócáid Stewart Allan chun cinn sa Rivals Gym i Wishaw Dé Sathairn 25ú Aibreán 2015.

Uisce, who has been the MBC’s chief referee since 2013, has been officiating for close to forty years, the first bout he refereed was Eddie Smith versus Joe Jackson at the Anglo American Sporting Club in Manchester on the 11úDeireadh Fómhair 1976.

It would be some seven years later before Vann refereed his first domestic Championship bout, the BBBofC Central Area Featherweight Title fight between Steve Pollard and Steve Farnsworth at the Tiffany’s Nightclub in Hull on the 29ú Márta 1983.

Three years later Vann refereed his first International Championship contest, the Commonwealth Lightweight Title fight between Zimbabwe’s Langton Tinago and Australia’s Graeme Brooke at the Granada Studios in Manchester on 23rd Lúnasa 1986.

With numerous British, Commonwealth and European title contests under his belt on the 8ú Meitheamh 1990 Rinne Vann breithiúnas ar a chéad chorn Craobh an Domhain, troid teidil Íosta Meáchan Domhanda WBC idir Hideyuki Ohashi na Seapáine agus Napa Kiatwanchai na Téalainne i dTóiceo, An tSeapáin.

Go dtí seo tá Vann tar éis céad daichead a trí Idirnáisiúnta a mheas, Comórtais teidil Idir-Ilchríochacha agus Domhanda do na hEagraíochtaí Ceadaithe Domhanda, mar WBC, WBO, IBF, WBU srl chomh maith le líon níos airde fós Eorpach, Chomhlathais, Troidann teideal baile na Breataine agus na hÉireann le linn a shlí bheatha ocht gcéad ochtó a dó go dtí seo.

Is é an ceann is déanaí de na babhtaí seo ná troid teidil Cruiserweight Idir-Ilchríochach WBO idir Oleksandr Usyk na hÚcráine agus Andry Knyazev na Rúise, a bhí ar siúl i Kiev díreach an deireadh seachtaine seo caite.

Ina theannta sin tá Vann tar éis céad seachtó a trí chomórtas Craobh a mheas ó shin 1978, ag tabhairt iomlán a ghairme feidhmiúcháin go míle dochreidte caoga a cúig comórtas, is oth linn an comórtas míle caoga sé sin a dhéanamh má chuirimid an ócáid atá le teacht an deireadh seachtaine seo san áireamh.

Go gairid tar éis filleadh ó Kiev, Labhair an t-eifidrín Vann go hachomair faoina shlí bheatha agus faoin imeacht atá le teacht in Albain ar an Satharn.

“Cad is féidir liom a rá nár thuig mé gur mheas mé go raibh go leor troideanna ann,

Is é an troid is mó a dhéanfainn i gcuimhne dom go nádúrtha ná Lennox Lewis agus Frank Bruno i bPáirc Airm Caerdydd, ba é sin an stair.

Ach rinne siad tagairt don oiread sin troideanna i gcuimhne, cá dtosaím, Shea Neary agus Mickey Ward, anois ba troid iontach é sin.

Is cuimhin liom roinnt blianta ó shin, cosúil le Jean-Marc Renard i gcoinne Farid Benredjeb, OH cén cogadh a bhí ann, chríochnaigh an bheirt acu san ospidéal.

Another memorable fight was Cassius Boloyi against Phillip Ndou, It was a war, an cogadh iomlán

They were two South Africans but from different tribes, they wanted me to referee it, not a South African, which was very much appreciated.

I remember refereeing the WBC mandatory Lightweight title fight, between Leavander Johnson and Miguel Angel Gonzalez, in a bullring, which was an experience.

I refereed in America Jorge Paez and Angel Manfredy, that was a terrific fight, in fact refereed three or four times in America.

I think if you count them all I think I refereed in thirty nine different countries, I left school at seven and went back at thirteen and left again at fourteen and I didn’t know at that time that there were that many countries in the world. Ní raibh mé, go hionraic.

I just enjoy what I do, tá a fhios agat go raibh mé sa Rúis, An Airgintín, An tSeapáin, ar fud, Fuair mé ar ais ó Kiev.

Tagann daoine suas le haghaidh grianghraf, fiú amháin i Kiev, le Mickey an rinceoir agus ansin ligeann siad orthu go bhfuil tú ag bogadh thart, tá sé go hálainn.

Piocaim rud ar bith i ndáiríre, Ní roghnaíonn mé ach na troideanna móra a thaitin liom.

Cháiligh mé mar réiteoir grád réalta i 1978 agus táim fós ag dul, Tá na céadta troideanna déanta agam faoin am sin, ní post é i ndáiríre, is taitneamh mar sin é.

Ní trodaire proifisiúnta an-mhaith mé, Amaitéarach maith a bhí ionam, Bhí seasca sé troid agam mar amaitéarach agus chaill mé naoi gcinn déag, ach bhíodh trí throid in aghaidh an lae agat sna Craobhchomórtais, throid tú ar maidin, bhuaigh tú gur throid tú tráthnóna agus má bhuaigh tú gur throid tú san oíche chun dul tríd go dtí an chéad bhabhta eile, i gCraobh an Airm agus sna clubanna buachaillí saghas ruda, sin a rinneamar go léir.

Mar pro tá ceithre throid dhéag agam ach chaill mé naoi gcinn, ach bhain mé taitneamh as, Tá áthas orm gur chas mé pro agus tá áthas orm gur throid mé, Tá áthas orm gur throid mé amaitéarach agus proifisiúnta agus chaill mé é nuair a chuaigh mé ar scor agus theastaigh uaim rud éigin a dhéanamh agus mhol mo bhainisteoir go réiteodh mé, Bhí mé ag iarraidh traenáil ach Tommy Miller, dúirt mo bhainisteoir liom ‘Jesus Mick cad a d’fhéadfá a mhúineadh d’éinne’, mar sin dúirt sé liom gur mhaith leat a bheith i do réiteoir, mar sin chuir mé isteach air agus thóg sé dhá bhliain orm agus cháiligh mé.

Bainim taitneamh as gach nóiméad de agus bhí roinnt uaireanta níos fearr ná a chéile, i ndáiríre ba ghnách leo fuath a thabhairt dom in Albain, cheap siad gur fuath liom na hAlban. Chuala mé é seo ar an raidió go minic.

Inseoidh Alex Morrison duit, cheap sé go raibh fuath agam d’Albanaigh, Ní raibh mé, ach ní raibh an chuma orthu riamh go bhfaigheadh siad an fíorasc uaim, mar sin tá sé íorónach go leor Dé Sathairn is é tionscnóir na hAlban agus dornálaithe na hAlban a d’iarr an seó seo orm.

Bhí an-spraoi agam i gcónaí ansin agus is Albanach an trodaire is fearr liom riamh, Ken Buchanan, mar sin is deas an rud é go dteastaíonn uathu go mbeinn ann don chéad imeacht ceadaithe ag MBC ansin, Ní féidir liom fanacht. "

Beidh Mickey Vann mar mholtóir do Sandy Robb i gcoinne Mathew Ellis agus Scott Allan i gcoinne Isaac Quaye a bheidh i gceannas ar an Stewart Allan (Iomaitheoirí Arduithe Céime) imeacht ag an Rivals Gym i Wishaw, Albain ar an Satharn 25ú Aibreán 2015.

Turkish Prospect Ozgul Set For London Showdown With Miekle On May 2nd

Champions TKO Gym’s unbeaten Light Heavyweight prospect Onder Ozgul is set to make his fifth professional outing in just over a weeks time, when he takes on the highly entertaining Jody Meikle, from Scunthorpe, in a six round contest, on the Mark Lyons and Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys Promotions LORDS OF THE RING event at York Hall in London on Saturday 2ú Bealtaine 2015.

Ozgul, has built quite a reputation, as a seriously tough and uncompromising boxer, over the past year or so, following top class victories over the likes of Lithuania’s Dmitrij Kalinovskij, Bighton’s Iain Jackson, Lithuania’s Remigijus Ziausys and most recently over the Czech Republic’s big punching Karel Horejsek.

With a boxing style and approach uncannily similar to that of a certain ‘Iron’ Mike Tyson, it shouldn’t come as any surprise that Ozgul’s Turkish fans have nicknamed their man ‘Little Mike’, a name that the British fans that have seen him in action have started to adopt too.

That aside, Ozgul’s resolve could be mightily tested by Miekle, who last time out scored a good solid draw against Portsmouth bruiser Sam Couzens, no surprise there as the Lincolnshire man not only likes a good old fashioned toe-to-toe slug fest, but also has a very entertaining mischievous streak.

Speaking at the famed Champions TKO Gym in Hackney, Ozgul spoke briefly about the upcoming showdown with the man they call ‘The Entertainer’.

“I’m happy I am fighting a six rounder, I’d be happy if it was an eight, I train for twelve rounds, so six is easy for me.

The way we look at it is if you can run a marathon, then running a half marathon is easy, that’s why we work so hard in the gym, so it is easy in the ring.

My last fight I trained hard, I trained for twelve rounds then too, the opponent was strong and durable but it was still an easy fight for me.

It will be the same next week, I will be ready for whatever Jody Meikle brings, I’ve been told Jody is tough, good that means we’ll have a very good fight.

I’m really happy that my brother Siar has got a title fight on May 2ú and even happier that I will be fighting on the undercard of his title fight and hope that everyone comes out and gives us both their full support.

I want to thank my sponsors and all those fans that come and support me and my brother (Super Welterweight Siar Ozgul), Thank you for supporting us, Bealtaine 2ú you’ll not be disappointed, I will be fighting at my best.”

Onder Ozgul versus Jody Meikle features on the undercard of Siar Ozgul – Matt Scriven MBC International Welterweight title fight that headlines the Mark Lyons & Billy James-Elliott Wise Guys Arduithe Céime dTiarnaí AN imeacht RING, a bhíonn ar siúl ag an Eabhrac Halla i Bethnal Green, Londain ar an Satharn 2úBealtaine 2015.

Speight delighted to secure Home Advantage

26 year old “The Genius” Jamie Speight has a wish come true on 16ú Bealtaine 2015 when he co-headlines the massive Goodwin Boxing “Master Class” bill at York Hall defending his Southern Area Featherweight title against Ian Bailey.

“I am over the moon at signing with Steve Goodwin” said Jamie “With everything he has done for me so far I could not be happier. This is the first time in years I have not had to go on the road and be the away fighter and have waited to be promoted as the home fighter for so long”.

Speight has had an up and down career but being sent as the away fighter meant that to Speight he never had the rub of the green or the advantage given to other fighters. Only two years ago Speight took Josh Warrington the distance in Warrington’s back yard and then subsequently lost a contentious decision to Lewis Pettitt once again in the opponent’s corner.

Bealtaine 2014 and Speight once again was in the opponents corner when he stopped Craig Whyatt to win this belt he is now defending but now the time has come for Speight to enjoy home advantage.

“I just want a fair crack of the whip and with Steve now in control of my career I know I will get that. I need to win this title as the next day I am flying with the Goodwin team to Turkey for a training camp and that needs to be a celebration.” Speight added “My aim is the British title at Featherweight and provided I keep winning Steve has promised he will deliver that to me.”

“This is a tough fight. Ian Bailey does not receive the credit he deserves. Like myself Ian has taken short notice fights and yet stops people with winning records. We have given him 2 months notice so he can prepare as well as myself and may the best man win.”

The Speight v Bailey clash is one of ceithre 50/50 intriguing Southern Area title fights on the bill with trí masters titles as well making this one of the best non TV shows seen in London for a long time.

Adam Dingsdale defends his Southern Area Lightweight title against Prizefighter finalist Michael “Chunky” Devine.

Philip “Quicksilver” Bowes (9-1) challenges for the Light-Welterweight version against the unbeaten former Prizefighter Champion Johnny Coyle whilst Johnny Garton makes his second defence of the Welterweight version against former English title challenger Martin Welsh.

The charismatic Danny Connor competes for the International Masters Lightweight title whilst Hampshire’s “Dangerous” Danny Goode fights for the Masters Super Middleweight Title. Adam Salman completes the trio of Masters title bouts when he competes for the Light Welterweight version.

Two of Ricky Hatton’s “Upton Clan” Paul and Anthony continue their rise to the top with 6 round contests.

The exciting Light Middleweight Joey Vaughan (1-0) has his first contest since signing with the Goodwin’s whilst the show sees the eagerly awaited debuts of Andrew Joicey (Welterweight) and Mwenya Chisanga (Light-Welterweight).

Jamie Arlain (1-0) also has his first contest after a long year break from the sport and after signing with the Goodwin’s whilst exciting unfefeated Light-Middleweight John Cash (4-0) has a six round contest.

The card is completed with Ben Hall (6 babhtaí) Dean Byrne (4 babhtaí) and David Leo (4 babhtaí) all facing selected opposition.

Championship Battle Headlines Wise Guys Promotions Inaugural Event On May 2nd

Eminent MMA promoter Mark Lyons has linked up with Britain’s youngest professional boxing promoter, eighteen year old Billy James-Elliott to create a new professional boxing promotions outfitWise Guys Promotions.

Their first event, titled LORDS OF THE RING, will take place at the famed York Hall, In Bethnal Green, Londain ar an Satharn, 2ú Bealtaine 2015, and will be headlined by the vacant MBC International Welterweight Championship battle between Siar Ozgul and Matt Scriven.

Hackney based Ozgul and Nottingham’s Scriven are old foes, having fought each other as recently as October last year.

It was an all action, closely fought small hall classic, an enthralling, intense four rounds of toe-to-toe action, so much so that when Scriven approached both the event promoters and Ozgul’s management asking if he could be considered as Ozgul’s opponent for the title fight, all parties agreed in an instant.

Who wouldn’t, these two put on a magnificent display of the pugilistic arts, not too dissimilar to the classic Mickey Ward-Arturo Gatti trilogy of fights from 2002/3.

Control of the fight switched between the two warriors throughout, both gave their all for every second of every round, is mór againn iad siúd a bhí i láthair, as was clear when the bout was voted the Fight of the Night and a clear contender for the end of year Fight of the Year accolade.

On that occasion it was Ozgul that rightly emerged victorious, by a 39-37 point margin, however that score line just didn’t reflect just how close each round was or give any insight in to just how thrilling the bout was.

Main support, for the Ozgul-Scriven Championship bout, sees Bradford’s Tasif Khan return to York Hall, the scene of his sensational first round stoppage victory over Richard Voros in January.

Ar Bealtaine 2ú Khan challenges Czech Republic’s Patrik Bartos for the International Masters Bantamweight title.

Adding an added element of intrigue to this particular match up, is that both Khan and Bartos have a recent opponent in common, Ladislav Miko, what’s more both stopped Miko early in their bouts, Bartos late in the second and Khan with a sensational one minute and fifteen second of the first round knockout.

Heading up the support card sees Chester’s WBF Intercontinental Super Bantamweight Champion Paul Economides against Doncaster’s former British Super Flyweight Champion Andy Bell.

Economides comes into the bout high in confidence, following a sensational second round stoppage victory, over former Commonwealth title challenger Isaac Quaye, ach an mhí seo caite.

What makes this victory so special is that Economides became the first person to stop the gutsy thirty seven fight veteran, a major feat indeed considering Quaye had previously fought the likes of British and Commonwealth Champion Don Broadhurst, Breataine, Commonwealth and European Champion Kevin Satchell and WBO European Champion Iain Butcher.

Another top class match up sees Siar Ozgul’s older sibling Onder in action against Scunthorpe’s highly entertaining Jody Miekle.

Ozgul, who is unbeaten in four pro outings, has been building quite a reputation for himself, following top class victories over the likes of Lithuania’s Dmitrij Kalinovskij, Bighton’s Iain Jackson, Lithuania’s Remigijus Ziausys and most recently over the Czech Republic’s big punching Karel Horejsek.

Siar and Onder Ozgul’s Champions TKO Gym mate Jerome Haywood is set to make his second pro outing, in aghaidh Scunthorpe ar Matthew Pepper.

Agadzhanyan, who has three stoppage victories from his four bouts to date, won the battle of the undefeated in his last fight, taking Czech Republic’s Daniel Bazo’s coveted ‘O’ with a superb 39-37 point victory in Liverpool in March.

Eric Mokonzo will be looking to secure his first pro victory, following his debut loss against Darren McKenna, when he faces debut boy Andy Cona, whilst Luton’s unbeaten Manny Muhammad, who was originally due to fight Mokonzo, will now face a yet to be named opponent.

Ar Bealtaine 2ú Finsbury Park’s Mark ‘The Flash’ Alexander returns to York Hall, the scene of his magnificent third round stoppage victory over Lithuania’s Tadas Stulginkas back in October.

Marston: Tá mé ag Arb é is aidhm Do A Big Win Ar 2 Bealtaine - Inis Uí Chonaill mé ag teacht Do Bhí a Teideal Aghaidh

Breataine #1 agus tá sé ríthe MBC Idirnáisiúnta Super bantamweight Champion Marianne Marston leagtha chun filleadh ar an Eabhrac Halla i Londain East End, an ardán a Craobh bua a dhaingniú sensational thar Marianne Gulyas go déanach an bhliain seo caite, i am cúpla seachtain, i gcás ina mbeidh sí aghaidh a chéile comhraic go fóill a bheith ainmnithe ar an Mark Lyons & Billy Elliott Tiarnaí AN imeacht Fáinne chun cinn ar an Satharn 2ú Bealtaine 2015.

Imeachtaí Ar ais i mí Dheireadh Fómhair Marston mó Utterly i gcoinne an Ungáiris ansin #1, Eorpach #3 agus an Domhain #31 rangaithe Gulyas chun an folamh MBC Idirnáisiúnta Super bantamweight teideal a dhaingniú.

Ó thús go deireadh go raibh sé an southpaw slick Breataine a bhí ar an troid i di comhraic i bhfad vastly níos mó taithí, aggressively ag dul ar aghaidh, ag baint úsáide as a cuid jabs géar agus lefts cliseadh go héifeachtach.

Le linn Marston chuma a bheith in ann a phiocadh as a chéile comhraic ag toil, dhéanamh Gulyas chomh chlé aon rogha ach a chosaint ar an Retreat.

Le linn an bout, Bhí throid ag luas frenetic, Gulyas cuairt ar an chanbhás nach lú ná seacht n-uaire, áfach, ach amháin a bhí chomhaireamh dhá cheann de na mar knockdowns le réiteoir Alf sprung, a waved na daoine eile amach mar duillíní no pushes.

Tar éis deich babhtaí scintillating de dornálaíocht, Breithiúna Ben doughty (An Ríocht Aontaithe) agus Matt Hamilton (An Afraic Theas) scóráil an bout 100-89 ag an am céanna breitheamh Lee Murtagh (An Ríocht Aontaithe) scórchárta a léamh 99-88 go léir i bhfabhar Marston.

An superb dúnta amach bua rocketed Marston suas na rátálacha, chomh maith le tuillte aici lámhaigh teideal Domhanda, aghaidh ríthe WIBA Champion, Astráil Sionainne O'Connell, a bheidh ar siúl níos déanaí an samhradh seo.

Ach is é an bout le teacht go bhfuil Marston díriú faoi láthair ar, mar a rinne sí soiléir nuair a labhair sí níos luaithe.

"Tá mé ag súil go mór troid arís, go háirithe ar ais ag York Halla.

Tá sé gar do sé mhí ó bhuaigh mé an teideal, Caithfidh mé a admháil súil agam a bheith amach i bhfad níos luaithe i mbliana, ach ar chúis amháin nó eile nach raibh ach a tharlóidh.

Má bhí mé ba mhaith liom a chosain ceachtar an teideal MBC nó throid chun an teideal WBU Eorpach arís, ach leis an gcomhrac teideal an Domhain ag teacht suas an samhradh seo socraíodh go seachas a bheith go léir an brú a thagann le troid teideal, ba mhaith linn teacht ar chéile comhraic le stíl cosúil leis na Sionna (WIBA Domhanda reatha Champion O'Connell Sionainne) chun troid ar Bealtaine 2ú mar sin d'fhéadfadh muid a úsáid mar reáchtáil tirim thástáil dáiríre, mar shampla.

Tá a fhios agam a bhuaigh mé gach babhta amháin in aghaidh Marianna (Gulyas) ach tá a stíl an-difriúil Sionainne, luckily cé go bhfuil mo pháirtí sparring mó Ian Napa, Tá Ian chomh taithí agus is féidir bosca in aon stíl, atá iontach mar atá a fhios againn gur féidir a ullmhú i gceart do na Sionna agus mo Bealtaine araon 2ú comhraic.

Ian iontach, a bhfuil duine éigin go bhfuil a bhí ann, déanta go agus tá an t-léine a chruthú dó, Creidim go hionraic go bhfuil sé ar a ionchur do mo ullmhóidí a dhéanann go léir an difríocht, Ciallaíonn mé tá sé a bhuaigh an teidil na Breataine agus na hEorpa araon dhá uair chomh maith throid teidil iomadúla, mar sin a fhios ndáiríre cad atá ag teastáil.

Cuidíonn sé freisin go bhfuil mé foireann le taithí iontach timpeall orm, mo cóiste Brian O'Shaughnessy Tá i ndáiríre a cheannaigh mé ar, anois in ionad a bheith níos mó nó níos lú aon tríthoiseach i mo chur chuige Tá mé anois go hiomlán chothromú agus is féidir bosca in aon stíl, fiú ar an chos chúl, a bhfuil rud éigin a fuair mé i gcónaí deacair a dhéanamh.

Mind tú nuair a bhíonn tú ag sparring daoine cosúil Ian (Napa), Grianmhar (Edwards) agus Ian Bailey-am ar fad, ní mór duit a bheith in ann a chur in oiriúint, mar sin tá roinnt de na moladh chun dul chun iad freisin.

Tá mé taitneamh as i ndáiríre a bheith ar an MBC Idirnáisiúnta Champion, bhuaigh an teideal tá tionchar orm ar bhealach dearfach, Ní féidir a mhíniú, ach tá sé cosúil le mé Trodaire difriúil anois, b'fhéidir go díreach ar an muinín a fhios agam is féidir liom dul deich babhtaí le Trodaire Domhanda rangaithe agus ní hamháin i seilbh mo chuid féin, ach iad a buille.

Anois, tá mé fuair a úsáid le mo buntáiste, an chéad caithfidh mé a buille whoever bhfuil sé beidh mé ag troid ar Bealtaine 2ú agus ansin ar ndóigh Sionainne nuair dúshlán mé as a cuid teidil.

Tá a fhios agam a dúirt mé seo sula, ach nuair a thagann mo shlí bheatha chun deiridh, Ba mhaith liom a mheabhrú mar Boxer go raibh scileanna maithe, Champion ceart, nach bhfuil duine éigin go díreach coasted tríd a gairme.

Ba mhaith liom troideanna fíor, troideanna brí, creidim dom nach bhfuil mé ag féachaint ar na Bealtaine 2ú is suas te nó aon rud mar sin, Ba mhaith liom ráiteas a dhéanamh ollmhór ar Bealtaine 2ú, Ba mhaith liom na Sionainne a bheith buartha mar gheall ar an Marianne a aghaidh uirthi an samhradh seo, Ba mhaith liom í a fhios agam ag teacht a ghlacadh a teideal uaithi. "
