Edmonton, Canada (April 25, 2018) – Super Channel has announced the formation of a new live boxing series, SUPERBOX LIVE, debuting Saturday, May 19, oo ay weheliyaan KO Night Boxing LLC, from Kansas Star Casino in Mulvane, Kansas,

 

 

 

International Boxing Association (IBA) Americas flyweight champion Nico Hernandez (4-0, 3 KOs) qaadan on doonaa Szilveszter Kanalas (14-7, 9 KOs) for the vacant IBA World Flyweight Championship in the 12-round main event.

 

 

 

Wichita-native Hernandez captured a bronze medal at the 2016 Olympics. Labo sanno ka hor, Kanalas became one of the youngest (17) world champions ever, when he defeated fellow Hungarian boxer, Jozsef Ajtai, for the vacant World Boxing Federation (WBF) Super Flyweight World Championship.

 

 

The card will also feature two heavyweight showdowns as rising Canadian star Oleksandr Teslenko (12-0, 10 KOs) faces an opponent to be determined on the televised broadcast, while Russian heavyweight prospect Andrey Afonin (5-0, 2 KOs) meets veteran Cuban fighter Pedro “El Reguilete” Rodriguez (23-4, 19 KOs).

 

 

 

Additional bouts will soon be announced for the televised portion of the May 19th dhacdo.

The 31-year-old Frampton (24-1, 14 KOs), fighting at home in Belfast, is a former World Boxing Association (WBA) Super World Featherweight Champion. The 31-year-old Doheny takes on former International Boxing Organization (IBO world champion “Machine-Gun” Mike Oliver (26-4-1, 17 KOs) ee sideed-wareega, co-featured event. A southpaw like Doheny, Oliver is a familiar figure in Boston having been a five-time New England Golden Gloves champion.
Doheny is a native of Ireland, who has lived in Australia, but he recently resettled in Boston’s predominantly Irish section of Dorchester. He is a five-time Irish National Champion who has more than 150 amateur matches, including a victory over Belfast’s Carl “Maska” Frampton (26-1, 14 KOs), who is a two-division world champion as a professional fighter.

Edmonton, Canada (February 24, 2018) – This afternoon in the semifinals round finale of the incredibly entertaining Boxing Super Taxanaha Adduunka (WBSS) tartanka, undefeated challengersCallum “adduunka” Smith (23-0, 17 KOs), ka World Boxing Council (WBC) Diamond champion, and late replacement Nieky “Dabiiciga The” Holzken (13-0, 10 KOs), square-off in the 12-round super middleweight bout, at Nurnberger Versicherung Arena in Nuremburg, Germany.

Holzken, an undefeated Dutch prospect, replaced two-time world champion Juergen Braehmer, ee Germany, who withdrew earlier this week from the WBSS semifinals match due to illness.

The 27-year-old Smith, fighting out of the United Kingdom, won a 12-round unanimous decision over previously undefeated Erik Skoglund in the WBSS quarterfinals to capture the World Boxing Council (WBC) Diamond super middleweight title.
“I came here to book a place in the final,” Smith ayaa sheegay in. “I have had a really good camp and I have improved on stuff from the last fight and people will see a better performance from me. People will see that I am good enough to win the tournament. I just want to win, win well, and look good doing it.

Edmonton, Canada (February 21, 2018) – World Boxing Council (WBC) Diamond champion Callum “adduunka” Smith (23-0, 17 KOs) takes on late replacement Nieky “Dabiiciga The” Holzken (13-0, 10 KOs) Saturday this in the last Boxing Super Taxanaha Adduunka (WBSS) semifinals-round match in the super middleweight division, at Nurnberger Versicherung Arena in Nuremburg, Germany

Holzken, an undefeated Dutch prospect, has replaced two-time world champion Juergen Braehmer, ee Germany, who withdrew from the WBSS semifinals match due to illness.

The Smith-Holzken winner will advance to the WBSS super middleweight championship final against World Boxing Association (WBA) and International Boxing Organization (Ibo) Super dhexe World Champion “Sir” George Groves (28-3, KOs), of the United Kingdom, June 2at The O2 Arena in London, in a battle for the coveted Muhammad Ali Trophy.

Smith was the least tested WBSS semifinalist in terms of having faced quality opponents, as well as the youngest at 27. The undefeated Brit is one of four fighting Smith brothers.
In quarterfinal WBSS, Smith took a 12-round unanimous decision from previously unbeaten Erik Skoglund to capture the World Boxing Council (WBC) Diamond super middleweight title.
“I gave an interview last week and said it was great there have been no drop-outs,” Smith ayaa sheegay in. “Looks like I spoke too soon. We got the call as we were boarding the plane. I am committed to fighting Saturday and will fight whoever the World Boxing Super series puts in front of me.”
The 34-year-old Holzken was preparing to fight Dmitri Chudinov in Sabtida ee WBSS Super Middleweight Substitute Fight. He has had only four scheduled 10-round matches during his five-year professional career, the most notable being a win by 10-round unanimous decision in 2016 in ka badan Farouk Daku (20-9-1) for the vacant BeNeLux super middleweight title.
Holzken is determined to make the most of this opportunity by upsetting Smith, despite his obvious leap in class. “I’ve been waiting for this chance to come,” Holzken commented. “I signed up as a substitute fighter, so I’m in great shape and prepared for Saturday. I’ve watched Callum fight many times. I study everyone in my weight class. He’s a good, solid fighter. We’re both big body punchers. It will make for an excellent fight. Usyk (13-0, 11 KOs), the World Boxing Organization (WBO) Cruiserweight World Champion is a
two-time Ukrainian Olympian, who captured gold medals at the 2012 Olympics and 2011 World Championships, twice defeating current International Boxing Federation (IBF) Light Heavyweight World Champion Artur Beterbiev, the two-time Russian Olympian now based in Montreal.
“I am going to entertain the crowd at the Arena Riga,” Usyk said. “That I can promise! I have worked on some new thing and Saturday you will see what I’m talking about.”
Briedis (23-0, 18 KOs), Boxing Adduunka Council (WBC) Cruiserweight World Champion, will be fighting in his hometown in front of an expected crowd of 10,000.
“My team is doing everything to take pressure off my shoulders,” Briedis commented. “We are just concentrating on the fight. My dream is to deliver a fight that can go into the Boxing Hall of Fame.”

Edmonton, Canada (November 15, 2017) – Double-barrelled boxing action is on tap this week for Canadian boxing fans when Super Channel airs back-to-back Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) dhacdooyinka Friday this night and Saturday fiidka, live from separate venues in the United States.

Friday ee action is headlined by a 10-round super middleweight clash between former World Boxing Council (WBC) Super dhexe World Champion Anthony “Dog ayaa” Dirrell (30-1-1, 24 KOs), who will be fighting at home in Flint, Michigan, against the only active professional boxer trained by his mother, Denis “Momma’s Boy” Douglin (20-5, 13 KOs), fighting out of New Jersey. The action starts at 10:30 p.m. IYO / 7:30 p.m. PT.
“Douglin has fought a lot of good fighters and I respect him, but he’s standing in the way of my title shot,” Dirrell said. “This is a chance for me to showcase my skills. I’m going for a stoppage, and I think I’m going to get it in the middle rounds. I want to put on a great performance and give the fans something to see. I’m going to get the job done.”
“I’ve taken a lot of fights on short notice and that’s hurt me in the past, but I’ve had ample time and a great training camp to prepare for this fight,” Douglin commented. “I think Dirrell has a problem with guys who aren’t afraid of him and who will actually give him a fight. With my style and determination, I’m going to bring a lot more than he’s expecting. I’m going to bring it for 10 rounds and I know I’ll have my arm raised at the end of the day.”
Two exciting matches are on the “Dirrell vs. Douglin” card, presented by Salita Promotions and TGB Promotion, will air in Canada exclusively on Super Channel.
The eight-round co-featured event is a rematch between two talented welterweight prospects,Jamontay “The Quiet” Clark (12-0, 7 KOs), ee Cincinnati, iyo Ukraine John “The Volk” Golub (13-1, 11 KOs), now fighting out of Brooklyn (NY). Clark won a highly-contested, eight-round decision this past June 30th

This fight will get me exactly where I need to be, closer to a world title shot.”
“We’ve been working hard for months and I’m ready to get back in the ring,” Williams remarked. “I could fight tomorrow. I know this is an important fight for my career. Ishe is a veteran and he is going to bring his ‘A’ game to try to prove he’s still got it. I’m not going to give him that opportunity. I will be victorious and show that I’m ready to fight the best in the world.”

In 10-wareega co-feature, veteran light heavyweight Lionell Thompson (18-4, 11 KOs) takes on unbeaten prospect Earl Newman (10-0-1, 7 KOs).
Thompson is on the trail of a 175-pound world championship and he hasn’t taken the easy road, having challenged the likes of Sergey Kovalev iyo radivoje Kalajdzic during his pro career. The 32-year-old out of Buffalo, N.Y.. is coming off a knockout victory over Steve Lovett in his last fight February 24. The last time he fought at the Cosmopolitan, he defeated Donovan George by unanimous decision on Sept. 16, 2016.
Newman will be taking a big step forward in taking on his toughest competition to date in Thompson. The 26-year-old Brooklyn-native is coming off a split draw against Paul Parker onTodoba. 19 after winning his first 10 dagaal pro.
In the other televised fight a pair of undefeated super featherweight prospects, 2012 Olympic Silver medalist from Mongolia, Tugstsogt Nyambayar (8-0, 8 KOs), who now fights out of Carson, California, and Filipino Harmonito “Hammer” Dela Torre (19-0, 12 KOs), battle in a 10-round match.
