Frampton has also defeated world champions such as Kiko Martinez (Dufoje), Scott Quigg Kaj Leo Santa Cruz, the reigning WBA featherweight world champion who defeated Frampton in their world-title fight rematch on January 28,2017 for the WBA crown.

Philippines-native Donaire, who lives in San Leandro, Kalifornio, is a seven-time, four-division world champion, Kiu estas 10-0 in fights held outside of the United States. The 10-round main event between extremely aggressive junior welterweights O’Connor and Claggett figures to be a barn-burner from the opening bell to the end. Neither fighter takes a step backwards, nor do they ever stop firing punches, which makes for an incredibly entertaining, can’t miss showdown.
“I’m going to pick Claggett apart,” the 32-year-old O’Connor predicted. “A lot is at stake and that’s why I pushed for this fight. I could have fought an easier opponent, but I didn’t want to. I’m going to break into the elite level of boxing and this is a step towards that.”
O'Connor (29-3, 11 KOs), fighting out of Framingham, MA, will defend his World Boxing Council (WBC) Silver International junior welterweight title for the first time. The popular boxer was a 2008 Usono. Olympic Team alternate, Tiel kiel la 2008 National Golden Gloves and US Future Stars champion as an amateur.

The 28-year-old Claggett (26-4-1, 17 KOs) has resurrected his career since he decided to drop back down to super lightweight three fights ago, all victories,including a pair of title-winning 10-round decisions over previously unbeaten opponents, Yves Ulysse, Jr. (14-0) for the vacant International Boxing Federation (IBF) North American super lightweight title, Tiel kiel Emmanuel Robles (15-0-1) for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) NABA USA super lightweight crown. Neither of Claggett’s titles will be at stake versus O’Connor.
“Many people are under the impression that I’ve been brought in as a B-side opponent for this match up, but that couldn’t be further from the truth,” the non-stop Claggett explained. “We selected Danny O’Connor shortly after my last fight in October and have worked tirelessly to make it happen. I’m looking forward to facing someone who fights moving forwards. Nobody is going to try and tap dance on St. Patrick’s Day.”
Much like his last fight this past October, in which he traveled to Montreal and Ulysse, Jr. in his backyard, Montreal, Claggett is fighting in his opponent’s backyard again, only this time against a popular Irish-American in Boston on St. Patrick’s Day.
“No problem,” Claggett commented, “bring it on. I have no fear of any man! My team will sit down with my promoter, KO Nokto Boksado, after this fight to look at the next move. I expect that I’ll be positioned to fight for a world junior welterweight title soon enough.

EDMONTON, Kanado (Februaro 24, 2018) – This afternoon in the semifinals round finale of the incredibly entertaining Monda Boksado Super Serioj (WBSS) tournament, undefeated challengersCallum “mondo” Smith (23-0, 17 KOs), La Monda Boksa Konsilio (WBC) Diamond champion, and late replacement Nieky “La Natura” Holzken (13-0, 10 KOs), square-off in the 12-round super middleweight bout, at Nurnberger Versicherung Arena in Nuremburg, Germanio.
The Smith vs. Holzken card, Komencanta #?e 2 P.M. ET, will air live in Canada, ekskluzive en Super Channel.

“I came here to book a place in the final,” Smith said. “I have had a really good camp and I have improved on stuff from the last fight and people will see a better performance from me. People will see that I am good enough to win the tournament. I just want to win, win well, and look good doing it.
“I always knew from the start of the tournament that there was a massive opportunity that George (Groves) would be waiting in the final. Sed, nun, I am fully focused on Nieky, and then I can talk more about Groves after the fight.”
Holzken, 34, was preparing to fight Dmitri Chudinov Je Sabato’s WBSS Super Middleweight Substitute Fight.

Smith was the least tested WBSS semifinalist in terms of having faced quality opponents, as well as the youngest at 27. The undefeated Brit is one of four fighting Smith brothers.

He has had only four scheduled 10-round matches during his five-year professional career, the most notable being a win by 10-round unanimous decision in 2016 Super Farouk Daku (20-9-1) for the vacant BeNeLux super middleweight title.
Holzken is determined to make the most of this opportunity by upsetting Smith, despite his obvious leap in class. “I’ve been waiting for this chance to come,” Holzken commented. “I signed up as a substitute fighter, so I’m in great shape and prepared for Sabato. I’ve watched Callum fight many times. I study everyone in my weight class. He’s a good, solid fighter. We’re both big body punchers. It will make for an excellent fight. Callum, you better be ready, because I am, and I’m coming to beat you!”

EDMONTON, Kanado (Novembro 15, 2017) – Double-barrelled boxing action is on tap this week for Canadian boxing fans when Super Channel airs back-to-back Premier Boxing Champions (PBC) Eventoj #?I tiu vendredo night and Sabato Vespero, live from separate venues in the United States.

Vendredo’s action is headlined by a 10-round super middleweight clash between former World Boxing Council (WBC) Ekstra Middleweight Monda Ĉampiono Anthony “La Hundo” Dirrell (30-1-1, 24 KOs), who will be fighting at home in Flint, #Mi?igano, against the only active professional boxer trained by his mother, Denis “Momma’s Boy” Douglin (20-5, 13 KOs), fighting out of New Jersey. The action starts at 10:30 P.M. ET / 7:30 P.M. PT.
“Douglin has fought a lot of good fighters and I respect him, but he’s standing in the way of my title shot,” Dirrell said. “This is a chance for me to showcase my skills. I’m going for a stoppage, and I think I’m going to get it in the middle rounds. I want to put on a great performance and give the fans something to see. I’m going to get the job done.”
“I’ve taken a lot of fights on short notice and that’s hurt me in the past, but I’ve had ample time and a great training camp to prepare for this fight,” Douglin commented. “I think Dirrell has a problem with guys who aren’t afraid of him and who will actually give him a fight. With my style and determination, I’m going to bring a lot more than he’s expecting. I’m going to bring it for 10 rounds and I know I’ll have my arm raised at the end of the day.”
Two exciting matches are on the “Dirrell kontraŭ. Douglin” Karto, presented by Salita Promotions and TGB Promotion, will air in Canada exclusively on Super Channel.

In the 10-round co-feature, veteran light heavyweight Lionell Thompson (18-4, 11 KOs) takes on unbeaten prospect Earl Newman (10-0-1, 7 KOs).
Thompson is on the trail of a 175-pound world championship and he hasn’t taken the easy road, having challenged the likes of Sergey Kovalev Kaj Radivoje Kalajdzic during his pro career. The 32-year-old out of Buffalo, N.Y. is coming off a knockout victory over Steve Lovett in his last fight Februaro 24. The last time he fought at the Cosmopolitan, he defeated Donovan Georgo by unanimous decision on Sept. 16, 2016.
Newman will be taking a big step forward in taking on his toughest competition to date in Thompson. The 26-year-old Brooklyn-native is coming off a split draw against Paul Parker SurSept. 19 after winning his first 10 Profesiaj bataloj.
