PAIR OF INJURIES FORCE CHANGES TO MAIN CARD OF ‘BELLATOR 160: HENDERSON VS. PITBULL’

CODY WALKER STEPS UP ON SHORT NOTICE TO CHALLENGE UNDEFEATED A.J. MCKEE, WHILE GEORGI KARAKHANYAN-BUBBA JENKINS MOVED TO SPIKE-TELEVISED CARD

Santa Monika, CALIF (Avgust 16, 2016) – Just nine days before the highly anticipated "Bellator 160: Merilend va boshqalar. Pitbull” voqea Avgust 26 at Honda Center in Anaheim, Calif., injuries sustained by main card fighters Henry Corrales va Lena Ovchynnikova have shaken things up a bit. Mag'lubiyati tuklar A.J. McKee (4-0) Endi duch keladi Cody Walker (7-2), paytda Bubba Jenkins (11-2) va Georgi Karahanyan (24-6-1) find themselves in a featherweight feature fight during the SPIKE-televised main card.

The fights join a main card that spotlights a super fight at 155-pounds between Benson Merilend (23-6) va Patricio “Pitbull” (25-3), as the two will duke it out for a shot at Michael Chandler’s championship belt. Bunga qo'chimcha, an explosive lightweight contest pitting Siz Avad (19-7) qarshi Derek Anderson (13-2) will serve as the evening’s co-main event.

In preliminary action, welterweights Kevin “Baby Slice” Ferguson Jr. va Joey Davis will make their professional debuts, paytda Chinzo Machida (3-2) will compete for the first time under the Bellator MMA banner.

Tickets for the event start at $30 and can be purchased now on Ticketmaster and at Honda Center Box Office. Ochiq eshiklar 4:45 p.m. PT local time and the first preliminary bout – which streams live on Bellator.com va Bellator mobil ilovasi — da boshlanadi 5:00 p.m. PT.

After beginning his career 7-1 amatör sifatida, the 21-year-old “Mercenary” has made a splash on the professional circuit, recording a perfect 4-0 mark through his first four bouts. McKee has fought under the Bellator MMA banner ever since he made his professional debut in 2015, finishing all of his contests in the opening frame, including three knockouts and a rear-naked choke submission. McKee’s most recent victory came at the expense of Italian Danilo Belluardo during the mixed martial arts portion of Bellator MMA’s first-ever event overseas, "Bellator 152: Freire vs. Souza.” The Long Beach, Calif. native will now take his flashy personality to the Honda Center, where he will have the chance to put his unique skill set on full display in front of his hometown fans.

Agreeing to take a professional mixed martial arts contest on short notice is no easy task, doing so against an undefeated fighter the caliber of McKee is even more daunting. But that’s exactly the scenario Walker finds himself in now ahead of next Friday’s hodisa. A two-time competitor for Bellator, “The Crow” will look to move above .500 within the promotion when he enters the cage at Honda Center. The 28-year-old Texan has ended all seven of his professional victories via TKO or KO, including four in the first round.

A longtime veteran of Bellator MMA, Karakhanyan will look to get back on track after dropping two closely contested decision losses against Jenkins, who he handily defeated nearly two years ago via guillotine submission. Known to many mixed martial arts fans as “Insane,” the 31-year-old has finished 18 uning 24 a professional sifatida kiritdi, earning himself multiple titles in regional promotions along the way. Following multiple setbacks to his knee, the Russian fighter is finally healthy and now looks to climb the 145-pound ladder in a competitive division that he once sat atop as the No. 1 raqib.

Just a few years ago, Bubba Jenkins was widely regarded as the top MMA prospect in all of the sport, though the title became tainted following the aforementioned loss to Karakhanyan at “Bellator 132.” The former NCAA National Champion wrestler with Arizona State University now has three consecutive wins under his belt, and is looking for redemption. Heading into his 11th fight under the Scot Coker-led promotion, the 28-year-old “Highlight Kid” looks to put on a standout performance in Bellator’s incredibly deep featherweight division. Tune in Avgust 26 to see if the Corona, Calif., native can return the favor and finish Karakhanyan in front of his local supporters.

PBC on NBC is headlined by undefeated rising star Errol “Haqiqat” Spence Jr. facing once-beaten contender Leonard “Arslon” Bundu in a welterweight world title eliminator that begins at 5 p.m. VA/2 p.m. PT.
Always in entertaining battles, Hardy’s punches per round stats far exceed the average for her weight class and prove why everyone believes her matchup with Vincent will be all-action. In six CompuBox-tracked fights, Hardy has averaged 83.4 punches per two-minute round, which projects to a staggering 111.2 if fought over three minutes. This number would far exceed the two men’s leaders Roman Gonsales va Leo Santa Cruz. Her two-minute output of 83.4 punches per round would rank her fourth among the men over three minutes, ahead of hard-hitters Gennadiy Golovkin (68.6), Andrzej Fonfara (75.1), Orlando SALIDO (71) va Abnur Mares (69.4) amongst others in the top ten.
I think that if there is a female boxer out there that should and deserves to be seen, it’s Heather Hardy,” said former world champion Shawn Porter. “She has put tons of work in. I have seen her fight and train and she is a top competitor and a true athlete in this sport. Some people think it’s taking a chance to put women’s boxing on television, but I think Heather Hardy is the best person to take that chance on. I don’t know anyone that is more worthy of this shot.
Heather Hardy is always in fan friendly and entertaining fights,” said former world champion Paulie Malignaggi. “Off the top of my head, I cannot think of a dull Heather Hardy fight. Ko'proq, she brings a big following and that always makes for a fun, noisy crowd and atmosphere.
A fan-favorite in Brooklyn, Hardy has been helping to fill local venues for years including Barclays Center, where she has fought seven times as a pro. Hozir, her long awaited matchup with the unbeaten New Englander Vincent has given her the opportunity to show her talents on a bigger stage.
I couldn’t be happier for my fellow Brooklynite Heather Hardy,” said middleweight world champion Daniel Jacobs. “This is a tremendous opportunity to showcase her talents on TV, and one that she has rightfully earned. This is huge, not only for her, bur for women’s boxing in general.
I think it’s a great for Heather to get this opportunity,” dedi Spence Jr.It’s not common that we see women’s boxing on television but there are a lot of women who deserve it. This is great for them and it’s great for the sport.
Heather has been working incredibly hard and grinding for years,” said former world champion Chris Algieri. “It’s great to see her get the exposure she deserves after the time and commitment she has put in to get to this point. She’s one of the most consistent performers in the local area and it’s time for the rest of the world to see her hard work and skills.

On the importance of coming out victorious
It’s very important that I win this fight at all cost. The welterweight division has plenty of good fighters that I want to get in the ring with. So it’s a must that I win this fight. I’m not taking Peralta lightly. I’m coming to win and win impressively.

Alfredo Angulo
I’ve been training hard since the beginning of the year. I’m ready to get back in the ring and put on a show for the fans.
I love entertaining the fans. I want to keep going out there and fighting for the fans. I want to be in big fights that fans remember.
I know that this will be a very entertaining fight. My opponent and I both have a lot of pride. We fight like true Mexican warriors and will leave it all in the ring. I don’t expect this to go the decision but I am ready to battle for every round.
Fans don’t question fights between two Mexican fighters. Everyone loves those kinds of matchups, like Morales-Barrera. Those fights are must watch. The Mexican style is to go head-to-head and toe-to-toe.
Fighting a guy like this is always dangerous. I don’t like to beat up my countrymen but this is a business and I want to have the crowd chant my name, just like he does.
I feel better when I have rest in between fights. I kuchli his. The rest has helped my body and I’m going to be stronger and sharper when I get back in the ring.
I’m very comfortable with my style and my team. I’ve known Romulo Quirarte for many many years and we’ve worked very well together.
I got married and we have a child on the way so I have a lot of emotions that I put into this training camp. It’s hard for me to explain in words, but I hope that I can show everyone when I get into the ring on Avgust 27.”
Terrell AQShlik bokschi birinchi
Each fight I feel like I’ve been growing. I’ve been learning and taking something from every experience in the ring. I’m a student of the game. I’m always training and I feel like I’m getting sharper and better.
I know my opponent is an aggressive fighter. He’ll come forward and he comes to win. I know him from the amateurs where he has a great background like myself. I’m looking to pick him apart and prove myself.
It’s hard for me to describe my style, but I make adjustments to opponents. I fight differently depending on my opponent. I’m a thinking fighter. He’s an aggressive fighter and I think it will bring the best out of me. I’m going to exploit his weaknesses and use his aggression against him.
I just have to be myself. Angulo and Robert Guerrero have a lot of heart, just like I do. My style is my own. I’m smart and I’m sharp. I like to hit and not get hit.
I’ve been watching the Olympics games and catching as much boxing as I can. We already have a medal guaranteed. I love watching all of the Olympics sports.

I am looking at this as an opportunity to clarify that I am the real champion. I want to shut his trap in primetime.
I don’t think Jacobs wanted this rematch, but it was destined to happen and now he has to deal with it,” Said Mora. “I thought the first fight was going my way. I knocked him down in the first round and was out boxing him in the second round. He knows that I have enough power to hurt him. He has more to worry about going into this fight than in the first fight. Look at my resume, I have fought solid opposition. Jacobs doesn’t have that type of resume.
