MIXED MARTIAL ARTS BOUT SET FOR BELLATOR 194 NA FEBRUARY 16
LOS ANGELES – A flyweight feature fight pitting renowned boxing champions Heather gbasiri (1-1) megide Ana Julaton (2-3) has been added to the main card of Bellator 194: Nelson vs. Mitrione na Friday, February 16 na Mohegan Sun Arena na Uncasville, Conn. Making her third appearance inside the Bellator MMA cage, Hardy hopes to duplicate the game plan that earned her an impressive knockout win over Alice Yauger in her professional debut at Madison Square Garden. Hailing from Brooklyn, N.Y., Hardy built an imposing boxing resume prior to joining forces with Bellator, where she collected a pair of titles in multiple weight classes, including the WBC International Female Super Bantamweight belt and WBC International Female Featherweight belt. “The Heat” protected an unblemished mark of 20-0 through a five-year stint inside the boxing ring.
An accomplished professional boxer herself, Julaton also brings a unique style to the Bellator cage as she prepares for just her sixth career MMA bout. The former WBO and IBA super bantamweight world champion made the transition to mixed martial arts in May of 2014, collecting a convincing knockout over Aya-Saeid Saber. DEBUT SET FOR BELLATOR 192 A Saturday, Jan. 20 – LIVE ON PARAMOUNT NETWORK
LOS ANGELES – Bellator announced today that sports television mainstay Jay Glazer will join the Bellator broadcast team. Beginning with Bellator 192, Glazer will host the broadcast desk as Bellator kicks off 2018 on Paramount Network (n'oge gara aga, Spike) Saturday, Jan. 20 na 9 p.m. NA.
Glazer joins reporter Jenn Brown, play-by-play men Mike Goldberg na Michael Ranallo, as well as color commentators “Big” John McCarthy naChael Sonnen. In addition to his broadcasting duties, Glazer will also appear in upcoming original content produced by Bellator’s digital team.
“I’m excited to welcome Jay Glazer to the Bellator family,” Bellator President Scott Coker said. “Jay’s knowledge and experience in sports television speaks for itself and he will be a great addition to our incredible broadcast team. A trailblazer in the sports media world who broke onto the scene as an NFL reporter for the New York Post, Glazer went on to serve as the NFL Insider for CBS Sports in 1999, and later joined Fox Sports where Jay is currently in his 14nke year as the NFL Insider on their award-winning NFL studio show, Fox NFL Sunday. Na 2007, Jay was named Sports Illustrated’s “Media Person of the Year.” Glazer also became one of the first mainstream media members to cover MMA when he hosted Pride Fighting Championships on FSN.
Jay is also set to begin shooting his fourth season on the HBO comedy hit Ballers, where he has a recurring role.
A longtime athlete and martial artist, Glazer owns the high profile Unbreakable Performance Center in West Hollywood, where the gym has become the home to many elite athletes, actors, musicians and business people, including Demi Lovato, Wiz Khalifa, Chris Pratt, Chuck Liddell and Randy Couture.
