Central New England (veća Lowell) 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship Semifinals round results from Lowell

LOWELL, Mass. (Siječanj 29, 2016) – For the second week in a row all 13 matches went the three-round distance in last night’s Central New England (veća Lowell) semifinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, featuring open and novice class action, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

Returning New England welterweight champion Xavier Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing in Lawrence (MA), Bio je 4-1 winner against Michael Fontenez, of Nashua, NH.

LOWELL, Mass. (Siječanj 25, 2016) – Returning New England Golden Gloves welterweight champion Xavier Vega, Lawrence (MA), leads a host of talented open and novice class amateur boxers into this Thursday night’s (Jan. 8) in the Central New England (veća Lowell) semifinals of the 70^th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (NH) izazivač Michael Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.

Vega, who has a 33-3 amaterski zapis, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, ako ne, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

A novice super heavyweight showdown between heavy hitters Ryan Brooks, of Weymouth (MA), and Boston’s Christian Ortiz. Bivši amaterski star, 'Speedy’ Rashidi Ellis ( 13-0, 10 KO-a ) od Lynn, Massachusetts će se vratiti u ring ove subote, 14. mart u Roger L. Mendoza Coliseum u Caguas, Portoriko. Njegov protivnik će biti Kolumbijski, Victor Gonzalez ( 12-9, 11 KO-a ) u 8-okrugli bout, raspored za praznih kuža WBA FedeCaribe, i WBC Latino velter naslova.
