Alyson DeRenzis wins Boxcino Bracket Challenge

Philadelphia, PA (Mejju 6, 2015)— Banner Promotions is pleased to announce that Alyson DeRenzis has taken first place in the Boxcino Bracket Challenge.
Alyson will take home the grand prize of two ringside tickets to the Boxcino finals that will take place on Mejju 22 fil Corona, California, a full roundtrip for two to the finals, complete with a hotel stay and meals for two, as well as a guest invitation to the pre-fight weigh in and post fight press conference. Alyson will also receive two Boxcino t-shirts.

ORANGE, Calif. (Mejju 5, 2015) – Middleweight Junior Brandon Adams (16-1, 12 Kos) is returning to a familiar situation. After coming up short in last year’s Boxcino finals and suffering the only loss of his career, the Los Angeles-native dropped down one weight class and fought his way back to the 10-round championship fight.

Adams faces the smooth boxing skills of John Thompson (16-1, 5 Kos) ta Newark, New Jersey on Friday, Mejju 22, mill-Prodotti Omega Outdoor Arena fil Corona, Calif. fil-Boxcino 2015 junior middleweight championship.

“I’ve been in Los Angeles for training camp, getting good sparring,” Donovan Dennisqal. “I know Andrey will be ready, and so will I.”

“I’m glad that I’ve made it into the finals of this great tournament on ESPN,” Andrey Fedosov qal. “I‘m training very hard in Los Angeles and I’m confident that I will win the fight.”

John Thompson reflects on Boxcino semifinal win and looks forward towards the final on May 22

Newark, NJ (April 21, 2015)— John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson has begun preparations for his Mejju 22 Boxcino final bout against Brandon Adams. (17-1, 12 Tal-KO).

“I outboxed the guy,” Said Thompson. I focused on what I needed to focus on and that was using my jab. I also focused on not to exchange and bang with him and I did a pretty good job of that.”
“As well as I fought, I do not think that was even my best win.”
Now he looks towards Adams. Adams of Los Angeles has experience in the Boxcino finals as his only loss was to Willie Monroe Jr. in last year’s Middleweight finals.
“I am happy to be in the finals. This is an opportunity that will be the uprising of my career,” continued Thompson.
“Brandon is a brawler. He will have a few weeks to come up with a strategy to beat me.”
Said Thompson’s promoter, Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions, “I believe we are longer, been in tougher and the better boxer. Brandon is a good fighter but I think he is too green. I know he had a brief amateur career and he could be too green for John.”

UNCASVILLE, Conn. (April 17, 2015) – Middleweight junior undefeated Tony Harrison rolled to his 21st straight victory in tal-tonight ESPN Il-ġimgħa Tissielet Night avveniment prinċipali, presented by DiBella Entertainment in association with New Legend Boxing, fil Mohegan Sun Arena.

Connecticut fan favorite, Mexican-born Danny Aquino (17-2, 10 Kos), upset previously undefeated Massachusetts featherweight Ryan “Il-Prinċep Pollakk” Kielczweski (22-1, 6 Kos) by way of an eight-round split decision in an entertaining co-feature event for New England bragging rights. The aggressive-fighting Aquino kept coming forward throughout the fight, as Kielczweski effectively counter-punched. Neither fighter was remotely hurt in the action-packed clash of gifted boxers.

 

Aquino defeated Kielczweski the one time they fought in the amateurs. “Because of his record,” Aquino commented, “this was the biggest win of my career. It was extra special winning my first ESPN fight, wisq. I think my aggressiveness was the difference. He was moving around and I had to keep putting pressure on him to make it my fight, not his fight. I hope this fight will give me opportunities and I’ll take the best.”

 

“It was definitely a tough fight,” Kielczweski noted. “Making weight definitely took a lot out of me. I think I boxed well, landed the harder shots and blocked most of his. I guess the judges likes his aggression, but I thought I won the fight.”

Ghanaian southpaw Lennox “2 Sharpe” Allen (19-0-1, 12 Kos), fighting out of New York City, overcame a flash knockdown at the end of round six to knock out a gamePaul Gonsalves (7-7-1, 3 Kos) in the following round. Allen connected with a straight left hand punch that landed flush on the Cape Cod light heavyweight’s chin.

 

Unbeaten middleweight Alantez “SlyAza” Fox (15-0-1, 5 Kos), fighting out of Maryland, outclassed Dominican invader Franklin Gonzalez (16-14, 10 Kos) on his way to a second-round technical knockout, trapping his opponent against the ropes and unloaded a barrage of unanswered punches until referee Harvey Dock halted the action.

 

Exciting Houston welterweight Regis “Rougarou” PROGRAMS ran his record to 14-0 (12 Kos), waqfien Abraham “Swift” Alvarez (19-8-1, 9 Kos) fil- 1:28 mark of the opening round. The promising southpaw prospect put his Mexican opponent down with a viscous, straight left to the body.

Born in Romania, but fighting out of Las Vegas, Gavril looks to get back on the right track on April 30.

 

The 28-year-old Hunter has lost his last three fights but has certainly faced tough competition having battled undefeated fighters in 13 of his pro fights. Fighting out of Seattle, Hunter will look to pull off an upset on April 30 fil Las Vegas.

Brandon Adams u John Thompson won semifinal bouts in the Boxcino 2015 Jr. Middleweight Tournament while Andrey Fedosov u Donovan Dennis scored impressive stoppage victories in the Heavyweight tournament, as all four punched their tickets to the finals in bouts that took place this past Il-ġimgħa fil-Ramel Casino Resort Betlem.
The bouts were televised live on ESPN Il-ġimgħa Tissielet Night.
The show was promoted by Banner Promotions, Inc.
The finals of both weight classes will take place on Il-ġimgħa, Mejju 22 at the Omega Products International Outdoor Arena in Corona, California and will be aired live on ESPN Il-ġimgħa Tissielet Night.

Adams took out longtime friend Vito Gasparyan in round seven of their scheduled 8-round bout.
Adams worked very well on the inside as he landed some solid shots to the head and landed to the body nicely. Gasparyan hung tough against his one-time sparring partner but the amount of solid punches began to show on Gasparyan and the bout was stopped 35 seconds into round seven with a badly swollen left ear.

Thompson lands the right hand

“I had to box him as he was swinging wild. I outboxed him. He was just swinging and not throwing any straight shots,” Said Thompson.
Dennis lands the knockout blow

scored a highlight reel 2nd round stoppage over 6’7″ Razvan Cojnau.
Dennis landed a thudding straight left that landed flush on the chin of Cojanu and the big man fell flat on the canvas and the bout was stopped 59 seconds into round two.
“I used my speed, quick feet and combinations,” said Dennis. “I saw an opening in the first round and then in the second I came with an overhand left that landed right on the button and he crumbled to the canvas.”
The punch was so devastating that it was ESPN Sports Center top play of the night.
On fighting Andrey Fedosov in the finals, “It is going to be a tough fight and I will have to work harder.”
