Нью-Ёрк (Студзеня 23, 2017) – Boxing journalist Стыў Farhood was the special guest speaker at last Tuesday night’s Ring 8 monthly meeting held at O’Neill’s Restaurant in Maspeth, Нью-Ёрк.
Farhood is being inducted into the International Boxing Hall of Fame this June. The popular Brooklynite, is the former editor-and-chief of The Ring and KO Magazine, in addition to being a veteran television commentator, including his current role for Showtime’s ShoBox: Новае пакаленне since its inception in 2001. У 2002, he received the prestigious Sam Taub Award from the Boxing Writers Association of America (BWAA) for Excellence in Broadcasting Journalism.

Baltimore Boxing to help raise funds for Leukemia and Lymphoma Society

Headlining “Scary Night at the Fights” is an eight round super middleweight contest between rugged Baltimorean Jessie “The Beast” Nicklow and unbeaten Virginia native Chauncey “Grimm” Fields.

Nicklow has a solid 25-8-3 запіс з 8 knockouts and is a fan favorite in Maryland. He looks to rebound from recent defeats against world class opposition and has never lost in his home state. A chilling truth is service members are, simply put, more capable of killing themselves by sheer consequence of their professional training and we are losing 22 a day. This must change. We need to retrain our warriors on what defines success for them.”

Our mission is to help provide a proper meal to families for Thanksgiving who may be experiencing tough times during the holidays. Each year we put together an initiative to give back to families around Thanksgiving, and this year we decided to put together a “Thanksgiving Turkey Giveaway.” The giveaway is designed to bring families together for a morning of joyous giving, and help to alleviate the worry and stress that families may endure, due to little or no resources. This year we will provide 100 turkeys to those in attendance. We encourage as many families to join us and we recommend early arrival, to ensure you receive a turkey. We will be joined by some of the Mayweather Promotions boxing stars who will be in attendance to assist with the turkey giveaway and meet with families.
