Cantu vs. Palicte will be contested for two belts as Cantu defends his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight championship, in addition to the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super flyweight title.

The 25-year-old Cantu (14-0, 1 KO), fighting out of Kingsville, Teksas, is a pure boxer who is the reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) şampiyon, sıralanmış No. 3 by the WBO North American Boxing Organization (KOMŞU) ve Hayır. 6 by the NABA. From the Louisiana Penitentiary, where Brock (13-3, 4 KOs) learned how to box while serving a 15-year sentence for armed robbery, to his salvation in the boxing ring. The 35-year-old boxer from New Orleans captured his second title, taking a 10-round split decision (96-94, 96-94, 93-97) from defending North American Boxing Association (Ayrıca) USA lightweight champion Reynaldo “El Trampolin” Blanco (13-3, 7 KOs)
Brock predicted that fans would see a completely different fighter, after being trained for this fight by future Hall of Famer and 10-time world champion Roy Jones, Jr. Brock threw effective punches in bunches, aggressively fought inside against the taller Blanco, and he outworked the Dominican who suffered a cut over his left eye midway through the fight and had his right eye swell a few rounds later.

“I knew he was a gritty guy who came from Puerto Rico to fight me in Las Vegas,” explained Brock, who added the NABA USA title to his growing collection that already had included the WBC US lightweight strap. “I was having fun, enjoying myself. I had to pick up stuff working with Roy and some rubbed off on me. With Roy’s help, my confidence was built up and I learned techniques, especially with my hand-and-feet coordination. I found what I learned was more effective.”
Jones was calm in Brock’s corner throughout the fight. “I’m always calm in the corner to get the best out of the fighter,” Jones noted. “To do that I need to remain calm.”
Mexican upset specialist Norberto “Demonio” Gonzalez (22-3-8, 13 KOs) did his thing in the co-feature, taking an eight-round split decision (76-75, 76-75, 74-77) from Puerto Rican junior middleweight Daniel “El Duro” Tespih (11-2, 10 KOs).

Gonzalez overcame a second-round knockdown. “I didn’t come here to lose,” Gonzalez yorumladı. “I knew we had to work hard to get a decision.”

Brock (12-3-1, 4 KOs), fighting out of New Orleans, learned how to box in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he was sentenced at the age of 15 for armed robbery. He served a 14 ½-year sentenced and he ended up with a 39-1 ile rekor 17 tırnakları. Upon his release, Brock won the Ringside Tournament and he was the No. 1 ranked welterweight in the United States. Brock reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Olympic Boxing Trials and finished his amateur career with an outstanding 54-3 kayıt. Stephon Young wins WBA NABA title with decision over Tony Lopez Jr.

Nutley, NJ (Ekim 3, 2016)–Bu geçmiş Cuma gece, newly signed GH3 Promotions fighter Stephon Genç turned in a terrific performance as he won the WBA NABA Bantamweight title with a ten-round majority decision over Tony Lopez Jr.

Young controlled the final three-quarters of the bout as he used his speed and aggressiveness to win by scores 97-93, 96-94 ve 95-95.

Genç, 28 years old of St. Louis, raised his undefeated mark to 15-0-3 with six-knockouts.

Ruiz (16-5-1, 6 KOs) replaced Emmanuel Quartey, who was unable to secure a visa, and he was rewarded with a 10-round majority decision victory over fellow Mexican fighter Hanzel Martinez (23-3, 19 KOs) for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) International super bantamweight title.

“El Trumpo,” fighting out of Oxnard, Kaliforniya, put on a clinic, avoiding the lunging Martinez, who was frustrated throughout the fight by Ruiz’ slickness. Martiniz lunged, Ruiz countered and then he slightly moved to the side, avoiding any potential. Defensively, Ruiz was far superior, keeping Martinez off balance through out the majority of rounds.
