In a pair of scheduled six-round fights, flashy 26-year-old Nichols meets another undefeated opponent, San Diego’s Kevin “KO” Ottley (3-0, 2 Kos), in an interesting match of unbeaten prospects that should propel the winner to the next level of the welterweight division, and constantly improving 21-year-old Moreno takes on Milwaukee’s Mike Fowler (5-3, 2 Kos) in the former’s eighth fight since turning pro March 20th. Fan favorite Ornelas, 18, will square off in his seventh the eighth fight of his six-month pro career against California bantamweight Jorge Perez (6-4-1, 3 Kos) in a four-rounder.

Cantu vs. Palicte will be contested for two belts as Cantu defends his North American Boxing Federation (NABF) super flyweight championship, in addition to the vacant World Boxing Organization (WBO) Inter-Continental super flyweight title.
Rated No. 4 na World Boxing Council (WBC) as a flyweight, the 25-year-old Cantu (14-0, 1 KO) will face the toughest test of his 4+-years professional career in the heavy-handed Palcite, but he’s excited to be headlining this nationally televised show from Las Vegas.
“I feel honored to be headlining a card in Las Vegas,” the Texan said. “The opportunity is what every boxer wants because Vegas is the biggest boxing hum in the United States and it has produced great champions in the past. I want to thank Roy Jones Jr. Boxing Promotions for this opportunity.
“A victory can help me open doors to the world title and allow me the show everybody what I stand for, which is being God’s humble champion. Palicte (21-2, 18 Kos) is a dangerous Filipino fighter who is world rated at No. 11 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) na No. 15 na WBO. Now training in Los Angeles, Palicte is looking forward to making his American debut Desemba. 17.

The 25-year-old Cantu (14-0, 1 KO), fighting out of Kingsville, Texas, is a pure boxer who is the reigning North American Boxing Federation (NABF) bingwa, nafasi Hakuna. 3 by the WBO North American Boxing Organization (NABO) na No. 6 by the NABA. He is a belt collector having been the former NABF Junior super flyweight, World Boxing Council (WBC) Youth Intercontinental bantamweight and World Boxing Council (WBC) United States super flyweight title holder.

World rated at No. 11 by the International Boxing Federation (IBF) na No. 15 na WBO, Palicte captured the vacant IBF Pan Pacific super flyweight championship this past June in his most recent fight, kuacha Vergilio Silvano (21-6-1) in the seventh round of their rematch, which was also won by Palicte via a 12-round unanimous decision a year ago for the vacant WBO Oriental super flyweight title.
The heavy-handed Palicte, who has knocked out 18 yake 21 victims, is rated No. 5 by the NABF and No. 15 by the NABA. Palicte, 25, also owns his share of title belts, including the IBF Youth super flyweight strap. In Palicte’s only pro fight outside of his native Philippines, he lost a highly disputed 10-round split decision (97-94, 93-97, 94-97) last March to local favorite Junior Granados (14-4-1) katika Mexico.

The 35-year-old boxer from New Orleans captured his second title, taking a 10-round split decision (96-94, 96-94, 93-97) from defending North American Boxing Association (Pia) USA lightweight champion Reynaldo “El Trampolin” Blanco (13-3, 7 Kos)
Brock predicted that fans would see a completely different fighter, after being trained for this fight by future Hall of Famer and 10-time world champion Roy Jones, Jr. Brock threw effective punches in bunches, aggressively fought inside against the taller Blanco, and he outworked the Dominican who suffered a cut over his left eye midway through the fight and had his right eye swell a few rounds later.

“I knew he was a gritty guy who came from Puerto Rico to fight me in Las Vegas,” explained Brock, who added the NABA USA title to his growing collection that already had included the WBC US lightweight strap. “I was having fun, enjoying myself. I had to pick up stuff working with Roy and some rubbed off on me. With Roy’s help, my confidence was built up and I learned techniques, especially with my hand-and-feet coordination. I found what I learned was more effective.”
Jones was calm in Brock’s corner throughout the fight. “I’m always calm in the corner to get the best out of the fighter,” Jones noted. “To do that I need to remain calm.”
Mexican upset specialist Norberto “Demonio” Gonzalez (22-3-8, 13 Kos) did his thing in the co-feature, taking an eight-round split decision (76-75, 76-75, 74-77) from Puerto Rican junior middleweight Daniel “El Duro” Rozari (11-2, 10 Kos).

Gonzalez overcame a second-round knockdown. “I didn’t come here to lose,” Gonzalez commented. “I knew we had to work hard to get a decision.”

Brock (12-3-1, 4 Kos), fighting out of New Orleans, learned how to box in the Louisiana State Penitentiary, where he was sentenced at the age of 15 for armed robbery. He served a 14 ½-year sentenced and he ended up with a 39-1 rekodi na 17 knockouts. Upon his release, Brock won the Ringside Tournament and he was the No. 1 ranked welterweight in the United States. Brock reached the quarterfinals of the U.S. Olympic Boxing Trials and finished his amateur career with an outstanding 54-3 rekodi. He left prison a completely different person; much calmer and cerebral, which he totally attributes to becoming a boxer.

Stephon Young wins WBA NABA title with decision over Tony Lopez Jr.

NUTLEY, NJ (Oktoba 3, 2016)–Zamani hii Ijumaa usiku, newly signed GH3 Promotions fighter Stephon Young turned in a terrific performance as he won the WBA NABA Bantamweight title with a ten-round majority decision over Tony Lopez Jr.
Bout, which was held at the Downtown Las Vegas Events Center, was televised live on CBS Sports Network.

Young controlled the final three-quarters of the bout as he used his speed and aggressiveness to win by scores 97-93, 96-94 na 95-95.

Young, 28 years old of St. Louis, raised his undefeated mark to 15-0-3 with six-knockouts.

Ruiz (16-5-1, 6 Kos) replaced Emmanuel Quartey, who was unable to secure a visa, and he was rewarded with a 10-round majority decision victory over fellow Mexican fighter Hanzel Martinez (23-3, 19 Kos) for the vacant World Boxing Association (WBA) International super bantamweight title.

“El Trumpo,” fighting out of Oxnard, California, put on a clinic, avoiding the lunging Martinez, who was frustrated throughout the fight by Ruiz’ slickness. Martiniz lunged, Ruiz countered and then he slightly moved to the side, avoiding any potential. Defensively, Ruiz was far superior, keeping Martinez off balance through out the majority of rounds.

In a good technical fight with a lot of give-and-take action from start to finish, unbeatenStephon “Showstopper” Young (15-0-3, 6 Kos) kushindwa Tony Lopez, Jr. (11-2, 4 Kos) in a battle of gritty southpaws. Fighting out of St. Louis, Young’s quickness prevailed over Lopes’ toughness, as both fighters put on a show for the vacant North American Boxing Association (Pia) bantamweight title in the co-feature. Young won a 10-round majority decision.

In the television opener, NABA USA super welterweight champion John “Phenom” Vera (15-0, 10 Kos) made another strong statement under the neon lights, stopping challenger Milorad “Micko” Zizic (12-2, 7 Kos) katika raundi ya pili. “I came out here to put on a show,” Vera said after the fight. “I dropped him (kwanza) with a left-right. The second knockdown I feinted and hit him with a hard right jab. I then turned right-handed because I knew my right was working. I knew I had him.”

Las Vegas junior lightweight Randy Moreno cruised to his fifth win without a loss, unloading an unanswered barrage of punches on Fabian “El Suavecito” Alanez (1-1) until referee Jay Nady halted the fight in the second round.

Popular Las Vegas welterweight Jeremy “J-Flash” Nichols kuboreshwa kwa 7-0 with a totally in control 4-round decision over Marquis “Hawk” Hawthorn (4-5, 1 KO).

Las Vegas’ 18-year-old bantamweight Max “The Baby Faced Assassin” Ornelas (5-0, 2 Kos) alibakia kutofungwa, winning a a 4-round unanimous technical decision overMulapi Enjani (2-3-2, 1 KO).
