Alyson DeRenzis wins Boxcino Bracket Challenge

Philadelphie, PA (Máj 6, 2015)— Banner Promotions is pleased to announce that Alyson DeRenzis has taken first place in the Boxcino Bracket Challenge.
Alyson will take home the grand prize of two ringside tickets to the Boxcino finals that will take place on Máj 22 Corona, Kalifornia, a full roundtrip for two to the finals, complete with a hotel stay and meals for two, as well as a guest invitation to the pre-fight weigh in and post fight press conference. Alyson will also receive two Boxcino t-shirts.
The runner-up is Matt Andrzejewski. Matt will have two tickets to the finals and two Boxcino t-shirts.

ORANGE, Kalif. (Máj 5, 2015) – Junior middleweight Brandon Adams (16-1, 12 KO) is returning to a familiar situation. After coming up short in last year’s Boxcino finals and suffering the only loss of his career, the Los Angeles-native dropped down one weight class and fought his way back to the 10-round championship fight.

Adams faces the smooth boxing skills of John Thompson (16-1, 5 KO) na Newark, New Jersey on Friday, Máj 22, od Omega Products Outdoor Arene v Corona, Kalif. v Boxcino 2015 junior middleweight championship.

“I’ve been in Los Angeles for training camp, getting good sparring,” Donovan Dennispovedal. “Ja know Andrey will be ready, and so will I.”

“I’m glad that I’ve made it into the finals of this great tournament on ESPN,” Andrey Fedosov povedal. “Ja‘m training very hard in Los Angeles and I’m confident that I will win the fight.”

“I’m looking forward to the Boxcino finals,” said Artie Pelullo, president of Banner Promotions. “The finals will be terrific with two exciting and compelling fights.”

John Thompson reflects on Boxcino semifinal win and looks forward towards the final on May 22

Newark, NJ (Apríl 21, 2015)— John “Apollo Kidd” Thompson has begun preparations for his Máj 22 Boxcino final bout against Brandon Adams. (17-1, 12 KO).

Thompson is in Virginia, training under Kay Koroma and he is looking to win the prestigious tournament against Thompson in the 10-round bout at the Omega Products International Outdoor Arena in Corona, Kalifornia.
Thompson (16-1, 5 KO) is coming off a 8-round split decision over previously undefeated Stanyslav Skorokhod on April 10 v Betleheme, PA.
“I outboxed the guy,” Said Thompson. I focused on what I needed to focus on and that was using my jab. I also focused on not to exchange and bang with him and I did a pretty good job of that.”
“As well as I fought, I do not think that was even my best win.”
Now he looks towards Adams. Adams of Los Angeles has experience in the Boxcino finals as his only loss was to Willie Monroe Jr. in last year’s Middleweight finals.
“I am happy to be in the finals. This is an opportunity that will be the uprising of my career,” continued Thompson.
“Brandon is a brawler. He will have a few weeks to come up with a strategy to beat me.”
Said Thompson’s promoter, Vito Mielnicki of GH3 Promotions, “I believe we are longer, been in tougher and the better boxer. Brandon is a good fighter but I think he is too green. I know he had a brief amateur career and he could be too green for John.”

CARSON, Kalif. (Apríl 18, 2015) – Confident and determined, Andrzej “The PolishPrinca” Fonfara (27-3, 16 KO) spoiled the ring return of Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. (48-2-1, 32 KO) in resounding fashion Sobota noc, flooring the former middleweight champion one time en route to a one-sided ninth-round TKO in the main event ofSHOWTIME CHAMPIONSHIP BOXING žiť SHOWTIME.

 

Fonfara, of Chicago by way of Radon, Poľsko, dropped Chavez, of Culiacan, Sinaloa, Mexiko, with a wide left hook 50 seconds into the ninth round before a boisterous crowd of 8,636 predominately-Chavez fans at StubHub Center. “Chavez said before the fight that he didn’t think I could take his body punches. I think I took them pretty good and passed that test.

 

“I know there are things I can still work on in training to become a more complete boxer, alednes večer was a dream come true. I want a rematch with (Light Heavyweight World Champion) Adonis Stevenson.

Because I hurt my hand, I couldn’t throw punches the way I wanted to with my right hand. I tried to do all I could with it. But I didn’t want to injure it further. I’m OK, but I definitely would love a rematch.”

 

In the SHOWTIME EXTREME co-feature, Super Welterweight Omar “El Businessman”Chavez (33-3-1, 22 KO), of Culiacan, the younger brother of Chavez, Jr. and son of legendary Julio Cesar Sr., won an exciting, hard-bojoval, give-and-take eight-round unanimous decision over Richard Gutierrez (28-16-1, 17 KO), of Arjona, Kolumbia.

Chavez won by the scores of 78-75 a dvakrát 77-74. There were no knockdowns.

Miguel Cotto (39-4, 32 KO) is the reigning WBC and Ring Magazine middleweight world champion and the first native of Puerto Rico to become world champion in four different weight classes. He is the former WBO junior welterweight world champion, the former WBA welterweight world champion, the former WBO welterweight world champion and the former WBA super welterweight world champion. Brandon Adams a John Thompson won semifinal bouts in the Boxcino 2015 Jr. Middleweight Tournament while Andrey Fedosov a Donovan Dennis scored impressive stoppage victories in the Heavyweight tournament, as all four punched their tickets to the finals in bouts that took place this past Piatok v Sands Casino Resort Betlehema.
The bouts were televised live on ESPN Piatok Nočné Boje.
The show was promoted by Banner Promotions, Inc.
The finals of both weight classes will take place on Piatok, Máj 22 at the Omega Products International Outdoor Arena in Corona, California and will be aired live on ESPN Piatok Nočné Boje.
Brandon Adams lands the uppercut
Adams took out longtime friend Vito Gasparyan in round seven of their scheduled 8-round bout.
Adams worked very well on the inside as he landed some solid shots to the head and landed to the body nicely. Gasparyan hung tough against his one-time sparring partner but the amount of solid punches began to show on Gasparyan and the bout was stopped 35 seconds into round seven with a badly swollen left ear.
Adams, 155 1/2 lbs of Los Angeles moves onto the finals with a record of 17-1 s 12 priechodky. Gasparyan, 154 lbs of Burbank, CA je teraz 15-4-5. Adams will not meet John Thompson.

“I had to box him as he was swinging wild. I outboxed him. He was just swinging and not throwing any straight shots,” Said Thompson.
Dennis lands the knockout blow

scored a highlight reel 2nd round stoppage over 6’7″ Razvan Cojnau.
Dennis landed a thudding straight left that landed flush on the chin of Cojanu and the big man fell flat on the canvas and the bout was stopped 59 seconds into round two.
“I used my speed, quick feet and combinations,” said Dennis. “I saw an opening in the first round and then in the second I came with an overhand left that landed right on the button and he crumbled to the canvas.”
The punch was so devastating that it was ESPN Sports Center top play of the night.
On fighting Andrey Fedosov in the finals, “It is going to be a tough fight and I will have to work harder.”
Dennis, 224 1/4 lbs of Davenport, IA is now 12-1 s 10 priechodky. Cojanu, 255 1/2 lbs of Los Angeles via Romania is now 13-2.

BROOKLYN (Apríl 12, 2015) – Champions Premier Boxerské na NBC vrátil s dvoma vzrušujúce záchvaty Sobota noc as Danny “Rýchly” Garcia (30-0, 17 KO) porazený Lamont Peterson (33-3-1, 17 KO) väčšinovým rozhodnutím a “Írsky” Andy Lee (34-2-1, 24 KO) a Petr “Kid Chocolate” Quillin (31-0-1, 22 KO) bojoval k čiastkovému remíze v Barclays Center.

Speight delighted to secure Home Advantage

26 year old “The Genius” Jamie Speight has a wish come true on 16th Máj 2015 when he co-headlines the massive Goodwin Boxing “Master Class” bill at York Hall defending his Southern Area Featherweight title against Ian Bailey.

 

“I am over the moon at signing with Steve Goodwin” said Jamie “With everything he has done for me so far I could not be happier. This is the first time in years I have not had to go on the road and be the away fighter and have waited to be promoted as the home fighter for so long”.

 

Speight has had an up and down career but being sent as the away fighter meant that to Speight he never had the rub of the green or the advantage given to other fighters. Only two years ago Speight took Josh Warrington the distance in Warrington’s back yard and then subsequently lost a contentious decision to Lewis Pettitt once again in the opponent’s corner.

 

Máj 2014 and Speight once again was in the opponents corner when he stopped Craig Whyatt to win this belt he is now defending but now the time has come for Speight to enjoy home advantage.

 

“I just want a fair crack of the whip and with Steve now in control of my career I know I will get that. I need to win this title as the next day I am flying with the Goodwin team to Turkey for a training camp and that needs to be a celebration.” Speight added “My aim is the British title at Featherweight and provided I keep winning Steve has promised he will deliver that to me.”
