MEDF0RD, Amaso. (Oktobro 5, 2015) – Quietman Sports Gym, owned and operated by two-time world heavyweight boxing champion John “La Quietman” Ruiz, is hosting the 130Thannual USA Boxing New England Championships next month at two Massachusetts venues.
The quarterfinals and semifinals will be held, Respektive,Novembro 7 & 14, at Chelsea High School with the championship finals scheduled for Nov. 28 at Plymouth Memorial Hall. Winners in each weight class will advance to the USA National Championships
“This is a great opportunity for amateur boxers,” Ruiz diris. “This tournament has great tradition and will feature great matches. It’s an honor and pleasure for Quietman Sports Gym to serve as host of this year’s event. We’re also proud to help raise funds for two great cause: Family Aid Boston (benefiting homeless families) and Chelsea High School High School Scholarship Fund.”
A Chelsea High School graduate, Ruiz is the only world heavyweight champion of Latino heritage.

“It’s an honor and a privilege to be on the ‘NEF XX’ Karto,” said Denning. Boxing and cage fighting under the same roof – it’s going to be a crazy night. I’m looking to go 3-0 as a pro against a very high level opponent in Lemke. It’s a heavier fight, against a guy who beat my coach in Bellator. I’m excited to showcase my skills and put on a show for the NEF fans. I’m Lewiston’s own Ken Doll and I plan on bringing everything I have into this fight. Fighting a friend is hard, but it’s all a part of this wide-growing sport. My career is on the rise while Lemke’s is going down.”

 

Jon Lemke is a member of Team Irish in Brewer, Maine where he trains under the legendary Marcus “La irlanda Mana Grenado” Davis (22-11). Like Denning, Lemke went on a tear at the start of his professional career, winning his first three bouts in a row. He last appeared in the NEF cage at “NEFa XIV” last fall, Venkanta Amos Collins (4-5) Tra unua-rondo teknika #knoka?to (TKO). After some time off from competition, Lemke is ready and eager to return to NEF in November.

Baltimore Boxing to host Olympic Qualifiers September 8-11!

Baltimore, MD (#A?gusto 20, 2015) – Jake Smith’s Baltimore Boxing Promotions in association with USA Boxing and Under Armor will host the Eastern Regional Olympic Trials Women’s Qualifiers September 8-11 at the beautiful Baltimore Harbor Hotel in Baltimore, MD.
Dubbed as “Pathway to Glory”, the event will feature hundreds of women from various states vying to get one step closer to their dream of representing the United States during the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil. Local notables include Baltimore’s very own Franchon Crews and Red Lion PA’s Brittany Inkrote.
The opening rounds of “Pathway to Glory” take place on 8Th Kaj 9Th, with the semi finals and finals slated for the Thursday the 10Th Kaj Vendredo La 11Th Respektive. In October 2011, Baltimore Boxing donated a percentage of their proceeds from a fight card to the ABCF.
