The 21-year-old Vega, representing Canal Street Boxing, faces Nashua (राष्ट्रीय महामार्ग) चॅलेंजर मायकेल Fontanez in one of eight open class matches. There are also eight novice class matches scheduled.
Vega, who has a 33-3 हौशी रेकॉर्ड, didn’t start boxing until he was 17 because he has only one kidney. A construction worker by day, Vega hopes to become a professional boxer and, तर नाही, a Lawrence police officer in order to give back to his community.

लॉवेल, मास. (जानेवारी 23, 2016) – The Central New England (ग्रेटर लॉवेल) quarterfinals round of the 70th annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship was held last night at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium with 13 highly competitive matches in the novice class.
सर्व 13 matches went the three-round distance for 39 rounds of action that the large crowed enjoyed from start to finish. The super heavyweight match between Dorchester’s 381-pound Ivens Derival and Haverhill’s 266-pound Kyle Davis was of special especially because of their respective sizes. Davis won by way of a three-round decision, 4-1, in a back-and-forth match that had fans standing throughout.

NEF TO OPEN 2016 WITH SPECTACULAR FIGHT CARD

Berry is coming off what many consider to be the defining win of his still-young professional career over gritty Mexican veteran Roberto Valenzuela (73-70-2) last November at “NEF अगदी.” Despite suffering a bad cut above his eye early in the fight, Berry maintained his composure and looked sharp on his way to a unanimous decision victory in the first eight-round fight of his career. Tollison is a class act in and out of the ring, and I think our styles will make a crowd pleasing bout. I remember being undefeated still and I know how important keeping the ‘0’ on the record is. Tollison is a big, strong athlete and I’m sure he will be more than prepared. Both him and I understand competition, and will most likely be friends after this event. I’m glad to be sharing this main event fight with him, and may the best man win!”
