LOWELL, มวล. (กุมภาพันธ์ 11, 2017) – Central New England (Greater Lowell) division champions in the open and novice divisions were crowned last night in the final round of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium. Fans braved the frigid cold weather to support the amateur boxers.

LOWELL, มวล. (กุมภาพันธ์ 3, 2017) – Fourteen exciting matches were held last night in the semifinals round of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship, Central New England (Greater Lowell) แผนก, at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.

Last night’s action included nine novice division semifinals matches, eight men’s and one women’s, as well as four open men’s matches. Two of the open matches featured final competitions (not semifinals like the others) as Boston light heavyweight Taylor Mears, representing The Ring gym, stopped Nahua’s (NH) John Xifaris ในรอบที่สอง, and North Chelmsford lightweight Brandon Higgins edged Dorchester’s Jonathan Depina on points, 3-2.

From the discipline, endurance and heart that goes into gloving up, boxing has garnered spectator respect and interest since the Ancient Greeks believed it to be a sport enjoyed by the Gods on Olympus. From Olympian bouts to professional prize fights, boxing is a spectator sport appreciated by millions globally.
This is White Collar/Master Boxing with Open, Novice and Master boxers. Three rounds of two-minutes each. Amateur boxing rules apply.

LOWELL, มวล. (มกราคม 27, 2017) – The red-hot action continued in last night’s quarterfinals round of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship of the Central New England (Greater Lowell) division as men’s and women’s open and novice matches were held in front of another great and exceedingly loud crowd at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
Judges were very busy as all 10 exciting bouts, including a Junior Olympic match and two non-tournament bouts, went the complete distance. Individual standouts included a pair of open division boxers, นักมวยปล้ำ Michael Fontanez, of Nashua (N.H.), และ Methuen (แมสซาชูเซต) มิดเดิ้ล Yarmarco Guzman. As determined by sports scientists, pound for pound boxing is the toughest sport in the world. From the discipline, endurance and heart that goes into gloving up, boxing has garnered spectator respect and interest since the Ancient Greeks believed it to be a sport enjoyed by the Gods on Olympus. From Olympian bouts to professional prize fights, boxing is a spectator sport appreciated by millions globally.
This is White Collar/Master Boxing with Open, Novice and Master boxers. Three rounds of two-minutes each. Amateur boxing rules apply.

All Female Boxing Clinic and Show at Gleason’s Gym

Gleason’s Gym will host the seventh Annual All Female Boxing Clinic on เมษายน 13, 14 และ 15, 2017.
There will be two days of boxing basics followed by a sanctioned all female boxing show.
The training will be handled by Gleason’s top female trainers and our female World Champions.
The amateur show will be sanctioned by USABoxingmetro. You will need a book to fight.
If you are interested contact Bruce Silverglade at Gleason’s Gym.

You do not have to attend the clinic to participate in the boxing show.

LOWELL, มวล. (มกราคม 21, 2017) – The preliminary round of the 71st annual Lowell Sun Charities Golden Gloves Championship concluded last night with 11 exciting Central New England (Greater Lowell) men’s novice matches at historic Lowell Memorial Auditorium.
