Hughie Fury rated #6 by WBO; Eager to conquer challenges in and out of the ring

Манчестер, Lancashire, Велика Британија (Мај 16, 2016) – Fast rising heavyweight Hughie Fury has been ranked #6 in the world by the World Boxing Organization (WBO).

Fury captured the WBO’s Intercontinental belt April 30 преку 7таround technical decision over awkward Fred Kassi. At 21years old, Fury has a perfect 20-0 professional ledger and stopped ten of his opponents. During the last fifteen months, Fury’s passed multiple tough tests having outpointed noteworthy fighters in Andriy Rudenko, George Arias, Dominick Guinn and Kassi.

 

Наn July 9, Fury looks to shine on his biggest stage yet when he faces an opponent to be named in a ten or twelve round fight. The fight will appear on the undercard of the world heavyweight championship showdown between champion Tyson Fury and Wladimir Klitschko at the Manchester Arena.

 

Hungry but humble, Fury is very pleased with his world ranking and plans to win the WBO world championship.

 

“I’m overwhelmed that the WBO has me listed in the top six in the world,“, Рече Фјури. “I’m a loyal person and will repay the WBO by winning their world title just like my cousin Tyson.”

The good news is I have been given treatment to clear my skin once and for all. “I am glad that I will finally be getting back in the ring,” Fedosov said. “I got some time to rest and now I feel better and stronger than ever. I just want to get in that ring on June 11. I am looking forward to putting on a great show as I look for a major fight.”

FORMER STATE CHAMPION RETURNS TO BATTLE THE KEN DOLL

LEWISTON, Мејн (Мај 16, 2016) - Нова Англија бори (NEF) returns to Lewiston, Maine on June 18, 2016 with the fight promotion’s next mixed-martial-arts (МЛД) and professional boxing extravaganza, “NEF 24: PROMISED LAND.” NEF executives have announced the signing of a professional featherweight MMA bout to the card featuring Мет “Кен кукла” Denning (3-2) и Brandon Bushaw (1-2).

 

Denning is coming off a huge submission victory over Derek Shorey (3-7) this past weekend at “NEF 23” in Hyannis, Масачусетс. The first time the pair met in 2014, it took Denning a mere 2:28 to submit Shorey. Denning topped that performance in the rematch by finishing Shorey in just 37-seconds. The win was a rebound for Denning after back-to-back losses in the NEF MMA cage. Just last month in Lewiston, he was stopped in the first round by Josh Harvey (1-0). The upcoming fight with Denning will see Bushaw move up in weight from the 135-pound bantamweight division to the 145-pound featherweight division.

 

“I am beyond excited to return to my home state of Maine and fight under the NEF banner for the fifth time,” exclaimed Bushaw. “I am making the move up to 145, where I intend to stay for the rest of my career. The HYCC was at capacity for the first sanctioned mixed-martial-arts (МЛД) show ever held on Cape Cod. The venue opened the upstairs walking track to give standing-room-only fans more elbow room. The crowd was electric all night for the eight-fight card presented by NEF.

 

Team Juniko, based out of Hyannis and Hanover, Масачусетс, was a perfect 5-0 on the night. Fabian Miranda (3-0), Thomas Lee Davis, Џуниор. (2-0), Ed Forlenza (1-0), и Kylie O’Hearn (1-0) all picked up wins for the team on the amateur portion of the card.

 

It was O’Hearn’s bout with Ангела Јанг (1-2) of Young’s MMA in Bangor, Maine that will be remembered for years to come by all in attendance. The two women battled back and forth for three grueling rounds before O’Hearn was declared the winner by unanimous decision on the judges’ scorecards. DEONTAY WILDER STATEMENT ON HIS TITLE DEFENSE FIGHT AGAINST ALEXANDER POVETKIN

MAY 15, 2016 – In the wake of the news on Friday that Alexander Povetkin tested positive for the banned substance meldonium, WBC Heavyweight Champion Deontay Wilder and his representatives have been made aware of the WBC’s decision on Sunday that the fight will not occur in Moscow on May 21.
“I’m very disappointed that due to Povetkin’s failed drug test the fight is not going to happen on May 21 во Москва,” said Deontay Wilder. “I had worked very hard to prepare myself for this important title defense, spending the last two weeks training in England to get accustomed to fighting in Europe. I wanted to give the fans a great show, but we understand the WBC’s position that the fight occur on an even playing field.”
Povetkin, the WBC No. 1 heavyweight championship contender, tested positive for the substance in a urine test conducted by the Las Vegas-based Voluntary Anti-Doping Association (VADA) април 27.
