MULTIPLE UNDERCARD BOUTS ANNOUNCED & SET TO SHOW OFF SOME OF UK’S TOP UP-AND-COMERS
TICKTES ON SALE NOW AT THEO2.CO.UK
LONDON (Mai 17, 2016) – A heavyweight match-up between Mark ‘The hand of’ Godbeer (11-2) ac James Mulheron (8-1) will kick off the televised portion of the highly anticipated “Bellator: London” card when the promotion arrives at the O2 Arena in London on Gorffennaf 16. The collision course that the two big men are on will divide the British fans in attendance as the three-round attraction sees Northern UK go head to head with Southern UK, with both men looking for the big KO.
The newly-announced scrap joins a star-studded event that features KIMBO Tafell (6-2) cymryd ar James Thompson (20-16) ac Josh Koscheck (17-10) erbyn Paul "Semtex" Daley (38-13-2). Additional matchups include a light heavyweight pairing between Linton “The Swarm” Vassell (16-5) ac Francis “Limitless” Carmont (24-11) and British welterweight highlight reel Michael "gwenwyn" Page (9-0) yn erbyn Fernando Gonzalez (25-13).
Several preliminary matchups have been revealed, including former Big Brother winner Alex Reid (10-9-1-1), who has been scheduled to fight against an opponent to be announced later.
After scoring a TKO victory this past Dydd Sadwrn, Godbeer comes into this fight hot on a three-fight winning streak. The exciting heavyweight is known to leave it all on the line, as evidenced by the fact that he has never let a fight go to the judge’s scorecards. For Godbeer it is a welcome second chance with the Bellator promotion. “I personally think Bellator is one of the leading organisations there is today; it’s a great honour to fight for them once again. Last time I fought off of the back of an 18 month lay-off due to a big injury and feel I wasn’t myself, so I’m glad to get another chance to show them the real me.”
Both Godbeer and Mulheron are hard-hitting heavyweights with great cardio and athleticism and share a common fight strategy: knock the other guy out. Mulheron won a regional title with the M4TC promotion, and will be competing in Bellator for the first time. “I don’t really go into fights with a game plan,” said Mulheron. “I go in with an open mind. I think every fighter needs to be able to adapt in fights but everyone who watches me knows I come to fight and this fight will be no different.”
In the United Kingdom, the event will be broadcast free on SPIKE UK and Channel 5, while in America the card will air FREE on SPIKE. Exact broadcast details for "Bellator 158: London” will be revealed in the near future. Tickets for the event are on sale now and start at only £40.00. They are available at TheO2.co.uk or The O2 Box Office.

ST. PETERSBURG, Rwsia (Mai 17, 2016) – Former M-1 Challenge light heavyweight and middleweight champion Vyacheslav Vasilevsky (28-4-0, M-1: 10-2-0) has stepped up to replace injured Ramadan Emeev erbyn Alexander “Storm” Shlemenko (52-9-0, M-1: 3-0-0) in the final of the M-1 Grand Prix Middleweight Tournament, prif fand
M-1 Her 68, Mehefin 16 at Yubileyny Sports Palace in St. Petersburg, Rwsia.
Emeev (14-3-0, M-1: 8-1-0) suffered a torn ligament in his elbow during training camp. In a M-1 Challenge Grand Prix Middleweight Tournament semifinals match last February, Vasilevsky lost a majority decision to Shlemenko in the M-1 Her 64 Ymladd y Nos.
“We were in a very difficult situation after Ramazan Ameev got injured,” Llywydd M-1 Byd-eang Vadim Finkelchtein explained. “The whole event was in jeopardy. Felly, bellach, we’re grateful to Vyacheslav Vasilevsky for agreeing to step in and face Shlemenko in our M-1 Grand Prix finals being held on his (Vasilevsky) pen-blwydd.
“Due to our contract obligations, we were unable to postpone the event because it is officially included in the St. Petersburg Aconomic Forum, which is something every one of our fighters knew from the very beginning. There’s a paragraph in the Grand Prix fighters’ contract stating we can use one of the guys who fought in the semifinals of the tournament in case someone gets injured. Now we’re making one of the most anticipated rematches in the history of Russian MMA.”
M-1 Her bencampwr pwysau trwm Alexander “Drago” Volkov (25-6-0, M-1: 9-3-0) will make his first title defense against Attila “Pumuklo” Vegh (29-6-2, M-1: 0-0-0) yn M-1 Her 68. A match between Russian middleweight Valery “Mae'r Hammer Rwsia” Myasnikov (10-1-1, M-1: 1-1-1) and Spanish veteran Enoc Datrys Torres (18-9-0, M-1: 5-6-0) has also been announced for the June 16fed Cerdyn.
“Y M-1 Her 68 event is going to be huge,” Finkelchtein added. “We’re stacking the card with Alexander Volkov vs Attila Vegh fighting in an M-1 Challenge heavyweight title fight. The Grand Prix winner, Shlemenko still gets $50,000. As for Ramazan Ameev, we will put efforts into arranging his fight with Alexander Shlemenko this fall, if Shlemenko is still fighting in Russia. Emeev versus Shlemenko will provide the answer to all of the questions MMA fans still arguing about.”

Lewiston, Maine (Mai 17, 2016) – Just days removed from hosting a “Ymladd y Flwyddyn” candidate in Hyannis, Massachusetts between Kylie O’Hearn (1-0) ac Angela Young (1-2), Ymladd Lloegr Newydd (NEF) announced that the fight promotion’s cage would host another women’s amateur bout in Lewiston on June 18, 2016. Ar “NEF 24: PROMISED LAND,” NEF veteran Alex Walker (0-1) returns to the cage to meet newcomer Nicole Burgess (0-0) in an amateur strawweight bout.
Walker arrived in NEF in the spring of 2015 to face Randi Beth Boyington (1-3) in what was the cage debut for both women. Just like O’Hearn and Young did this past weekend in Hyannis, Walker and Boyington stole the show at “NEF 17.” They battled tooth-and-nail for three rounds before Boyington took a unanimous decision on the judges’ cardiau sgorio.
Walker is expected to give another “Ymladd y Nos” performance at “NEF 24” after an injury forced her out of competition for the past year. Those who know her, including her coach and teammates at Team Kaze in Lancaster, New Hampshire, say that Walker lives to fight. Being unable to climb into the cage for so long has made Walker more determined than ever.
“I can’t wait to fight in Maine again,” exclaimed Walker when reached for comment. “I had an injury last year, a month after my fight with Randi Beth. I am recovered and ready to go. It killed me to be on the sidelines. I feel like I earned some respect and some fans in Maine and I don’t want to lose that. I am sure this girl will be ready, but she won’t be ready for me! Between life’s hardships, surgery, colledion, and whatever else, I will not quit until I am successful! It would mean a lot to me to get my first W in front of the Maine fans on June 18th!”
Standing opposite Walker on Mehefin 18 will be Nicole Burgess. If the name sounds familiar to NEF fans, it should. She is the sister of NEF MMA fighter Ryan Burgess (2-0). Ryan is the reigning NEF MMA Amateur Flyweight Champion. The undefeated streak of the Burgess family in the NEF cage will be on her shoulders at “NEF 24.”
Burgess, brodor o Mexico, Maine, wrestled and played field hockey for Mountain Valley High School in Rumford, Maine prior to attending Plymouth State University in Plymouth, New Hampshire. While at Mountain Valley, she placed three times at states in wrestling. She currently trains with Berserkers MMA.
“I’m excited about this opportunity to finally get in the cage,” meddai'r Burgess. “After seeing my brother win the title at 125, it really amped me up to take this on since I’ve been wrestling with him for years. This will be an opportunity to show people what I’m made of. I’m ready for a fight.”
“Women’s fights have stolen the show at three different NEF events in the past year,” stated NEF matchmaker and co-owner Matt Peterson. “This one will be no different. Women’s fights in MMA are not a novelty. From the regional level right up to the UFC, female athletes are excelling to heights unseen in other sports. The sky is the limit for Nicole and Alex. I can’t wait for this one!”
NEF returns to the Androscoggin Bank Colisée in Lewiston, Maine ar Mehefin 18, 2016 gyda “NEF 24: PROMISED LAND.” Tickets for “NEF 24” start at just $25 ac ar werth nawr ar www.TheColisee.com neu drwy ffonio'r swyddfa docynnau Colisée yn207.783.2009 x 525.

SANTA MONICA, Calif. (Mai 16, 2016) – Bellator MMA is proud to announce the contract extension of undefeated bantamweight superstar Darrion "The Wolf" Caldwell (9-0) i aml-flwyddyn yn unig, contract aml-frwydr.
“Darrion is a fighter who I really think has that x-factor,” said President Scott Coker. “After his last fight, I looked at our matchmaker and I just said, ‘Wow, this is kid is exploding with talent.’ I’m very happy we were able to get this deal done and I look forward to seeing this star rise for years to come.”
Growing up in New Jersey, Caldwell was a talented, multi-sport athlete who shined the brightest on the wrestling mats. After becoming a three-time high school state champion in New Jersey, “The Wolf” naturally joined “The Wolfpack,” earning a spot on the North Carolina State University wrestling squad. With the Wolfpack, he continued dominate his opponents, winning the NCAA national wrestling championship in 2009.
Making his professional MMA debut in 2012, the 28-year-old has looked seemingly unstoppable at times throughout his first nine fights. Yn ei daith olaf, the six-fight Bellator MMA veteran Caldwell convincingly defeated former two-division Bellator champion, and Greco-Roman world champion wrestler Joe Warren. You can watch the video by clicking on the photo’s below.
“Bellator has been nothing but good to me,” Caldwell shared with the MMA Hour this morning. “They saw my talent early on in my career and they came after me… I’m here to let everyone know I’m going to continue my talents at Bellator MMA… With Bellator Jumping on board, it’s time to get married. I’m in it for the long run.”
Caldwell is nothing if not confident in himself, continuing with host Ariel Helwani: “I’ve always been a star, but it’s just been about getting on that platform and Bellator is giving me that opportunity… I don’t think any 135-pounder can see me, ya feel me? Whether its UFC, Bellator, anywhere in the world there isn’t a 135-pounder that can beat me.”
