The 31-year-old won his first five bouts stateside and will look for back-to-back victories when he battles James in Birmingham.
The fighter from Armenia who now fights out of Glendale, California, Darchinyan is coming off of stoppage victories over Cris Paulino and Prayoot Yaijam. Having fought against top contenders and former champions such as Abner Mares, Iesu Cuellar, Nonito Donaire and Nicholas Walters, Darchinyan looks to work his way back into world title contention after picking up titles in multiple weight classes. He takes on Quevedo out of Los Algodones, Mexico who most recently stopped previously unbeaten Yoandris Salinas in the fifth-round of their 2014 diwedd.

Rob Brant Wants to Face WBO Middleweight King Billy Joe Saunders on September 17

Undefeated Minnesota-based middleweight Rob “Da iawn” Brant would like to be the contender chosen to face WBO middleweight champion Billy Joe Saunders on Medi 17.

Saunders (23-0, 12 Kos) announced last week he would be fighting on the Saul “Canelo” Alvarez vs. Liam Smith undercard on HBO pay-per-view in the United States, and WBO #9-rated Brant (20-0, 13 Kos) says he thinks he’s the right choice to face him.
“I have the utmost respect Billy Joe Saunders as an athlete,” said Brant. “I respect him so much that I would really enjoy giving him a grand welcome to the United States in the middle of the square circle.”

The 33-year-old Harris of West Pittston, Yf. is a perfect 2-0, to date, inside the World Series of Fighting decagon cage. In his last start at WSOF30 onEbrill 2, he earned a unanimous decision over Clinton Williams.

Salchow of Dusseldorf, Germany is a 32-year-old finisher who has been taken the distance of a fight only once since turning pro in 2004. He is coming off a first round (2:25) PWY (punches) o Steve Montgomery ar Mai 7.

In another middleweight preliminary card contest and rematch, Alfonso “Big Smooth” Gonzales (9-1) o Tacoma, Golchwch. ac Thomas Hoeper (4-2) of Arlington, Golchwch. will revisit their first meeting that took place on September 26, 2015 and ended with Gonzales scoring a second round (1:29) PWY (punches) on Hoeper.

Elsewhere on the undercard, recent World Series of Fighting signee and former K-1 star Andrews Nakahara (4-3-2) of Mogi Das Cruzes, Brazil will make his promotional debut against Travis “The Praying Mantis” Doerge(5-8) of Renton, Golchwch. mewn pwysau welter (170 bunnoedd) diwedd.

DANA WHITE: LOOKIN’ FOR A FIGHT CARD ANNOUNCED FOR BANGOR EVENT

Bangor, Maine (Gorffennaf 12, 2016) – Earlier today, Ymladd Lloegr Newydd (NEF) announced the fight card for the promotion’s Awst 5, 2016 event at the Cross Insurance Center in Bangor, Maine. Pencampwriaeth Ymladd Ultimate (UFC) President Dana White will be present at the event to scout talent for his web show Dana White: Edrych mewn’ am Ymladd. Eight professional mixed-martial-arts (MMA) bouts will be presented before White. Sixteen competitors will look to impress the UFC boss and earn a contract with the largest MMA promotion in the world.

 

Yn y prif ddigwyddiad, “The Fearless” Alfred Khashakyan (7-2) will face Brazilian prospect Ricardo Lucas Ramos (8-1) in a bantamweight contest. Based out of Glendale, California, Khashakyan is a finisher, having won seven of his last eight bouts via knockout or technical knockout. Khashakyan will be in good company on Awst 5 as his opponent does not believe in letting the judges decide the winner either. Seven of Ramos’ eight wins have been finishes, including five submissions.

 

Maine lightweights Jon Lemke (5-5) ac Jesse “Y Llychlynwyr” Erickson (7-5) will meet in a rematch of their Bellator 93 bout from 2013. Lemke won the first battle in Lewiston via first round technical knockout. Both Erickson and Lemke have recently challenged for the NEF MMA Professional Lightweight Title. They are two of the top-ranked fighters in the state at 155-pounds.

 

Local, Bangor-based Young’s MMA will send no less than four competitors to the cage in hopes of winning a UFC contract. “Y” Ryan Sanders (10-7), Aaron “Didostur” Lacey (1-0), CJ Piser (1-0), ac Josh “Hook On” Harvey (1-0) will all be in action for the first time at the Cross.

Fighting out of Yucatan, Mecsico, he began his 2016 campaign by defeating Roberto Valdez in April. Now he looks to make a mark in his U.S. ymddangosiad cyntaf ar Gorffennaf 16.
A tall welterweight at 6-foot-2, James is undefeated as a pro and beat tough contender Javier Molina in an FS1 and FOX Deportes main event in January. The 27-year-old out of Minneapolis had a big 2015 that began with victories over Michael Balasi and Daniel Sostre and culminated with a hard fought decision over once-beaten Juan Carlos Abreu in September. He will look to keep that momentum going when he faces his most dangerous opponent to date on Gorffennaf 16.
Born in Nigeria, but fighting out of Oxnard, Omotoso earned a unanimous decision over Gilberto Sanchez Leon in his last bout. He was unbeaten in his first 18 pro bouts while fighting out of Australia. The 31-year-old won his first five bouts stateside and will look for back-to-back victories when he battles James in Birmingham.
The fighter from Armenia who now fights out of Glendale, California, Darchinyan is coming off of stoppage victories over Cris Paulino and Prayoot Yaijam. Having fought against top contenders and former champions such as Abner Mares, Iesu Cuellar, Nonito Donaire and Nicholas Walters, Darchinyan looks to work his way back into world title contention after picking up titles in multiple weight classes. He takes on Quevedo out of Los Algodones, Mexico who most recently stopped previously unbeaten Yoandris Salinas in the fifth-round of their 2014 diwedd.
