18-year old hot prospect Chaise Nelson (3-0, 3 KO) makes USA debut this Saturday in Ohio

YOUNGSTOWN, OH (Luglio 20, 2016) – Pro Box Management’s hot undefeated prospect, super-featherweight Chaise Nelson (3-0, 3 KO), makes his United States debut this Saturday July 23, 2016 at the Covelli Center in Youngstown, Ohio. Nelson, whose first three fights were held in Mexico, will face rugged veteran Angel Gonzalez (22-8-1, 12 KO) in a scheduled 4-round bout.
Hailing from Mansfield, Ohio, Chaise Nelson was a decorated amateur, capturing numerous titles before turning professional in February of 2016, all'età 17. Now age 18, Nelson fights in his home state, where family and friends will be in abundance watching him fight. Known for having power in both hands, Nelson is making noise, having knocked out his first three opponents. Signed by Pro Box Management, Nelson is happy to fighting in the U.S.A for the first time.
“It’s great to be fighting in Ohio where all my family and friends will be there to show support,” said Chaise Nelson. “I definitely want to make a good first impression in my American debut. I know every fight gets tougher from here on out. I just want to take it one fight at a time and start my career off on the right track. So far everything is heading in the right direction. NEF ANNOUNCES WINNERS OF WRESTLING ESSAY CONTEST
Rumford, Maine (Luglio 20, 2016) - Combattimenti New England (NEF), America’s number one regional fight promotion, earlier today announced the winners of this year’s contest to attend the University of Southern Maine’s (USM) annual “Brawlin’ Lobster Wrestling Clinic.”
Isaiah Cogswell, a junior at More High School in Bath, Maine and Benjamin Mahoney, a junior at York High School in York, Maine, will both have their tuition costs covered to attend this year’s clinic and will both receive a unique NEF prize package that includes tickets to “NEF 25: EROI & VILLIANS” to be held on September 10th al Androscoggin Bank Colisee a Lewiston, Maine. The contest was sponsored by NEF and NEF professional featherweight mixed martial artist, Brandon “The Dream Killer” Bushaw. In order to enter, applicants needed to submit a 200-word essay outlining how attending the 2016 clinic would help them to achieve their wrestling goals. Cogswell and Mahoney were selected out of over 40 applicants.
“I want to attend this camp so I can achieve my goal of Maine heavyweight champion and this camp will help me not only keep my skills but to improve upon them,” wrote Mahoney, who has placed at both mid-states and the Atlantic Invitational tournament since he began wrestling on the varsity team his freshman year. “I would like to show to my coaches that I am willing to take the extra step to show leadership and experience, so that I could also be a team captain this year.”
“This camp would give me an opportunity to be exposed to more coaching styles and learn more about who I am as a wrestler,” Cogswell, a varsity wrestler and KVAC Champion, wrote in his essay. “I am not done, I still have work to do to reach my goals.”
This year’s dual sponsorship to send two wrestlers to the clinic was made possible by the contribution of Brandon Bushaw, a two-time state wrestling champion and member of the Maine Amateur Wrestling Hall of Fame. After a successful career at Westbrook High School, Bushaw went on to wrestle at Michigan State University alongside teammates and UFC-standouts Rashad Evans and Gray Maynard. With almost 20 fights under his belt between his amateur and professional mixed martial arts careers, Bushaw has never forgotten his wrestling roots and the lessons he gained from competing in the sport.
“Wrestling has molded my life on and off the mat since my freshman year of high school,” said Bushaw. “I look back and am so thankful to this day that Coach Walsh wouldn’t leave me alone about coming out for the Westbrook wrestling team all those years ago. If I can give back even one percent of what I got out of wrestling, it would be monumental to me. That’s why when I saw NEF was paying for a young wrestler to go to camp, I called Matt and told him I would like to send someone as well! I’m glad he accepted my offer and I hope that wrestling has the same impact on this young man’s life that it did mine!”

WMMAA terminates head of judges Radmir Gabdullin

MONTE CARLO, Monaco(Luglio 20, 2016)- The World MMA Association (WMMAA) has terminated its Head of Judges, Radmir Gabdullin, due to his imprudence, inexperience, and technical inability to evaluate Mixed Martial Arts (MMA) in the professional sector.
Regarding recent statements that he recently made in the Russian press, Gabdullin expressed himself disrespectfully to other colleague judges, WMMAA Board member Alexander Engelhardt and the Association itself, as Worldwide WMMAA President Vadim Finkelchtein expressed, “One of the key factors of MMA is respect. This is a line we should and can never cross. Detto, it leaves me no other choice than to release Radmir Gabdullin from his function. We also severely advise that the Russian MMA Union do the same. (The Russian MMA Union is a full member of the World MMA Union.)
“We are working hard on standardizing in all countries of the world, all continents, in terms of Rules, Regulation and Referees committees, including anti-doping.We are a real worldwide organization and therefore we also have to reflect this in all of the WMMAA committees. Anche, Russia will be, naturalmente, represented in these as part of the WMMAA. More information will follow soon.”
Finkelchtein, who as WMMAA president reserves any other actions towards the associate judge, noted that, during the Novembre 4-6WMMAA Congress in Macau, Porcellana, a board of judges will be discussed and created.

ATLANTIC CITY, NJ (Luglio 20, 2016)–Questo Venerdì notte alla Claridge in Atlantic City, welter, Thomas ” Cornflake” LaManna assumerà Engleberto Valenzuela in a six-round bout in a card promoted by Rising Promotions.
With a win, il 24 year-old of Millville, New Jersey is staring a big opportunity in the face against an undefeated opponent that is already penciled in for a September 16th date in Atlantic City.
Sebbene, LaManna can not and will not get into specifics of that fight until he comes through the fight with Valenzuela as he is not taking the native of Sonora, Mexico lightly.
“Valenzuela is a guy from Mexico, who will come to fight. I will try to invest in body work early and see where that goes,” said Lamanna.
LaManna stepped up his training as he started his camp out west and worked with a high class of fighters in an effort to up his skill level.
“Everything went well in camp. I started out in Las Vegas and worked with 2012 Olympic Gold medal winner Ryota Murata. Originally I was not going to fight because of the fight in September, But I was feeling good, so we are ready to put on a great performance.”
This is the fourth fight card for Rising Promotions at The Claridge. The Promotional company headed by Thomas and his mother Debbie. Putting on a show where LaManna is promoting is a daunting task as he must find time to take care of all aspects in putting a show together, but also train properly for a high-class professional boxing match.
“At times it is difficult to train and work on the promotional aspects of the show. But I am intelligent enough to oversee that everyone is doing their job. We have had three shows and I have fought on two of them, and everything has gone well for us and me in the ring as well. If there is a problem, I fix it, but I am a fighter first. The training is most important. That get’s taken care of first, and then I take care of the promotional end of things.”

Del Valle excited for Tri State Area return
Bayamon, Puerto Rico (Luglio 20, 2016) – As a teenager, Luis “Orlandito” Del Valle left his native Puerto Rico for Newburgh, NY where he resided for seven years. During his time in the Empire State amateur ranks, he made great strides in the ring and won multiple highly-competitive tournaments, most notably capturing the 2004 National Golden Gloves title.
As a pro, Del Valle had his first fight in New Jersey, hoisted the WBA-NABA championship in New York and Connecticut was the state that hosted his first appearance on HBO. Generale, half of his 24 professional fights took place in the tri state area and the bilingual Del Valle built a solid fan following. Tuttavia, he hasn’t fought in the area since 2012.
